i can tell you that 25 through vt and nh is awesome. That's the road that I take to get to the track. it connects from 302 in Orange VT (just east of Barre). Great road with little traffic and few cops.

i usually take (from burlington) :
2 to 89 in waitsfield (x9 to skip montpilier traffic) to 302 in Barre and over to 25. 25 through VT to 25c and back to 25. 3A is nice along the river to tilton/franklin but I spent about 45 min in traffic there this weekend.

Where in NH do you want to end up?
if you're rockin up 100 you coul dhop onto 2 south in waterbury and then continue with the directions above. I like 25 a lot.

I am sure some NH people could help you from there.

I live in nashua, NH. Last time I just drove 119 to 9 all the way to NY and back. That was fun but I like doing loops better. Is rt 100 twisty? It doesnt look that twisty from the map.

depending on how far north you want to go, there are a few options.

First, look for some roads between 100 and 30. There are quite a few nice mountain passes through there and some great twisties if you take the right roads.

    1. Rte 30 to 35, to 121, then over to 12 into NH. From there you can pick up 123 in NH and follow to Rte 202. There are a few non-route numbered roads from 202 into the Milford NH area.

    2. A bit further north, I believe I tried something around rte 44 last year through a bunch of twisties through farmland.

    3. Also, Rte 106 into Woodstock isn't bad either, then over to 4 and back south on 89 for a bit, and onto Rte 10 from exit 13 through Newport and onto Rte 31. Take that over to 202, and look for Rte 149 off of 202, which will take you into South Weare, NH, then do 77 and 13 back to the Nashua area.

In VT, do yourself a favor and bring a detailed map and look for the twistiest roads you can find that don't have route designations. They are the most fun to ride as long as they are paved.

And thats all I'm gonna give ya, so don't ask for more

Some portions aren't bad. Its more of a corridor road that is more fun than taking highways. Look out once you pass by Mount Snow. The frost heaves are huge just north of there on 100, so slow way down or you will be airborne.

Rt 100 is starting to come back to me a little bit. I took it from Sugarbush to Jay Peak over this winter, its more like a highway than a fun twisty road. I will bust out a better map and see what I can find.

If you want a nice loop in Vermont coming up get to route 100 from Killington through Texas falls, 117 over the mountain, take a right and run into hinesburg and Richmond. Straight through the light, on Browns Trace until it ends at 15. Take a right into Jericho, and veer right onto Pleasent Valley road. At the end of this take a right onto 108 over Smugglers notch. In Stowe, take a right onto 100. In Waterbury either get on 89 south until exit 7 or take a left onto route 2.
Depending on how far North you want to drop into NH either take 2 over to St Jay/Littleton, 302 to Wells River/ Haverhill, or 302 to 25 Bradford/Piermont. All these routes drop off on VT route 5.
Hope this helps. Drop me an E-mail if you need more info.. Good Luck...

if you just want a short loop, from brattleboro do 9 to 100 north, once you get to west dover (12 miles from where you get on 100) you will see a road on your right called dorfitch road, its a real twisty road that will bring you back to 30 just outside brattleboro, head to brattleboro, you will see a covered bridge on your left, take that!! its a REALLY twisty road, you will come to a four way intersection, go right, that will bring you to 5 right near exit 3 off 91.

BTW i live right on 100 in west dover, they repaved it last year and are resurfacing it right now, no more frost heaves.

Next monday I will be doing a VT run with my friend. Finals will be over and full time work wont be started yet so I will be ready to rip it up. We usually try to leave nashua around 9 and end up leaving around 9:30-10ish.

I dunno where I'm headed to, thats why I posted in here.

350 - 500 Miles would be sweet starting in Nashua and ending in Nashua.
