There's really only a couple of Winnie courtesy rules
keep driver awake
keep driver fed
keep driver hydrated
keep driver entertained
If you can cover this the winnie has DVD capabilities and VHS with a 27 inch tv up front

you can also take 190 south and take these roads
I will put my 4 wheeler at the end of the driveway for you to see as you come down the street.
I have a little more snow to clear to accomodate you parking at the house

I've got Faster on DVD (as I'm sure most of you do)....I could watch that a million times. Any other racing videos ya'll got? A bit of poker sounds good to me as well.
From what I can tell right now...1 bike, 1 large gear bag, rear stand. What is the best way to handle fuel? I've got a 5-gal fuel container.
How about chicken and beef kabobs, rice of some sort, grilled veg? Ed and I can bring the fixings for that and if anyone wants to do some muchies/apps, that would be cool. How's that sound?
For traveling food...sandwich fixings, chips, fresh fruit, that sort of thing? What is the food situation at the track? Is there any place to pick up a little something for breakfast? It looks like there's a place for dinner...right?
Going back to working on the SS now....I can't wait 'til next weekend!

That's right, back to a 2 cylinder, 3 cylinder, and a 4 cylinder.
Dave and I will bring tools. I will bring the usual metric wrench and socket stuff, screw drivers, some Jap specific stuff and Dave said he will do the similar but with some duc specific stuff as well

bergs and I are leaving sat morning, we will meet the RV crew in the front RV entry @ 4:30pm. Call my cell if you guys/gal get there earlier on Sunday.
Carlton
My facebook
Kim was asking what the food situation is like down there.
At the track, the food is nasty. The hot dogs are 'ok' but the burgers suck. I would try to bring sandwiches or something. there is a pizza place about 5 minutes up the road (at the traffic lights where there is a big hump in the road, you can't miss it).
Enjoy and don't ruin the track for us when we go a week later.
derek
P&C see you guys there
Thanks for the H.U. Degsy
Is there a cheap-o-mart or wal-mart super center near by? I don't mind transporting food a few miles but not 600 mi
just for that comment I will be sure to leave some hidden fluid on the track

Yeah, head out of the track entrance and turn right towards rt 57. Cross from VA to NC and back several times in 10 minutes. At rt 57 intersection there is another pizza place and a mini-mart on the right (Kinda like a Cumby's but built in 1953).
if you turn left onto rt 57 and go past 27 NASCAR collectible stores in about 10 miles you will come into Danville. There is a motorcycle dealership on the right. They are shite and don't even know what a clip-on is (don't ask how I know).
In Danville you will find a few chain restaurants and steak houses, as well as lot's of people with Mullets and fat chicks. Don't mention denno in any of the bars and don't mention my name in the Courtyard marriott.
The RESTAURANT/PUB at the track (NOT the snack bar in the pit area) is VERY VERY good. A little more pricey than Danville, but it's really good food and the bar is cosy. The service is a little slow if they have more than 20 people in there, but it was still ok. Not a place to go if you want to have a good old southern hoot 'n' hollerin' time.
If you haven't been before, the garage suites on the start finish staright and the hotel onsite are top notch. You can watch the bikes go under your balcony at 170mph on one wheel.
Enjoy.
Derek....
Thanks for the info!

...no worries...lots of strip malls with real grocery stores within 15 minutes...maybe even a Piggly Wiggley!!!
(and that pizza place Degsy refers to...they have figured out how to make pizza with 7 times the grease of an average pizza. last time I was there the waitress looked like she had been mud wrestling in oil. after a full day on the track its not a bad place to reload however...)

My only fear about this trip is forgetting to pack the bike!
