Anyone have any requests for movies or anything? I have a bunch of riding movies and stuff Ill bring, and if I can Ill try to burn up some of last years AMA races from VIR to get a look at the track. But any general movies anyone wants?

DAVE??? KEV??? I would likey to do the seminar aslo either one or both.
It would be a good prep to the weekend. who else is up for this plan???
me kim dan richey ........
it only takes 50 - 60 mins to get to PK's house
I would like to be out the driveway at 330am +/-
I know it's scary to think about that time but it's when I normally get up and it would get us to VIR by 4:30 +/- pm taking into account stops for gas and stuff and keeping a moderate pace
Hmm, 3am huh. Well I supposed I could cut my evening short to leave then.
cool. I'll be there at 2:00 and I'm in for Kate's seminar. Are we packing up the trailer before we go to Kates?
what are everyone's thoughts about food for Sunday's RV trek....do we make any stops or is it a matter of bringing what we want to eat with us?
I have some snack stuf but most likely, when we stop for gas, folks get a chance to grab some o' that fine rest area food.
Then, depending on timing and appetite, we could go out to dinner Sunday night after we get all unloaded and stuff...
...my opinion...
diner on sunday is an absolute as I don't want to be tanking up during track time .... what about Monday eve?? dinner and fire arms store if they have that sort of thing down there
imo sucks trying to move around the tank when your own tank is full.
during trip food is fine ... plenty of space to store it
The bus will be unhooked after it's secured and or locked up. anyone have a trailer hitch lock??
absolutely
Looks like a bunch of us are going to go to the suspension seminar. Hope we aren't trying to cram too much into too little time what with packing and the bbq and all!!!
If a bunch of us are really heading down to GMD, shouldnt someone give Pete a heads up? Didn't see any in his thread....!
was wondering the same thing.
I wrote that he should move the date but mongoose told him the lot of vir crew members might be coming.
Dave it looks like 2pm is the arival time to my house.
how is everyone transporting thier bikes to my house? I have room for trucks but I would prolly have to store small trailers at the neighbors.
Dave your bike will be in the VIR trailer
Kim will your h ubby be able to take your transport gear back to your house for the week?
dan kev richey how you doin this???
that's fine
You'll see when you get here why I suddenly became concerned for this
Last minute questions:
Please, please, please tell me that one of you guys is good at safety wiring...I've got the clamp on the oil filter and drilled the plastic oil filler bolt....other than that I'm :chicken: and don't want to make a stupid mistake. I've got the cobalt drill bits and wire....can someone help me?
Secondly, what are the sleeping arrangements tonight? Should I bring a sleeping bag?
The bike is on the back of the truck and it's time to get the food and gear together...can't believe the VIR trip is finally here!!!
:woot:
I have the safteywire pliers too...
and yes...a sleeping bag is probably a good idea for tonight!
Matt has picked up the trailer and is on his way back. I am leaving in about 30 minutes.
Yo peeps!
It's bergs...I stole Carlton's log-on...:teehee:
Plan on at least 13 hrs of driving.....don't ask...:mope:...the worst part was driving down 58, IMO
kermita-I have everything you need for the safety wire shiz....Dewalt drill, bits, wire, pliers...the whole shabang.
Tomato- if you read this before you leave, watch for the piggaz from NY thru DC...they were out in full force today...seemed like for every 1 car pulled over there were 3 cruisers behind it....also, people seem to have an issue with crashing...:dunno:....I'm blaming Easter...
so how was it guys?!?!? weather ok??
Literally just arrived home. Long ass weekend. Worth EVERY FUCKING SECOND. Weather was ok, rainy and cold monday morning, warmed up and dried out in the afternoon. Cold tuesday morning but turned out beautiful. Track was incredible, the company was awesome. Couple crashes, couple injuries, nothing too serious, but Ill let others fill in some details. I need to get some damn sleep.
+1 - great time. A little crappy weather the first morning, but after that it was beautiful. Less than 25 people per group...lots of open track. The facilities were impressive (stayed in a room over the garage with microwave/fridge...overlooking the straight). The other folks at the track were funny/cool/helpful.
Edit to say: thanks Tomato for planning/driving. You guys would not believe the way he can manuver/back up a 60+ foot vehicle.
forget sleep...post the pics!
Bergs carlton and dave have the pics!!!!!!!
