Yesterday turned out to be a great day for the annual VT Uncovered Bridges ride! We've held this ride for 11 (or 7, or 10, or something like that) consecutive years but at times have missed a year or two or three in between. Five of us showed up and hit some tremendous VT roads (a good number of them were new to us and we'll be sure to revisit) entering the state from Lyme, NH and running out to a bunch of towns including Sharon, Barre, Bethel, Pittsfield, Weston, Chester, and Grafton. Mostly pretty much cage-free! We headed back into NH through Bellows Falls, VT and finished up the day with 30 miles of fantastic backroads into Sunapee, where we broke off and headed home. Door to door for me was about 300 miles so probably 350+ for the others. Gumby served as the official bridges counter this year so he'll have to provide the final tally, but I counted somewhere between 23 and 60. A few pics attached.
