Sunday 6/14 - White Mtns - HMR/Auto Road/Kanc

Leaving at 10am from Southern NH - Can sweep northwood, barnstead, alton and ossipee for anyone living a bit north of us. Lookin for about 10 or so for a good ride.

We'll cruise some nice routes up into the Conway area, Take HMR from the west to east, head up the Mt. Washington Auto Road ($14 single rider), then head down, cut across Bear Notch and hit the Kanc before headed back.

Forecast looks favorable with only the usual 'chance' of tstorms you get every day.

We kinda did this ride from over my way and got stopped this side of N Conway WE got VERY LUCKY, we got clocked doing 66 in a 30, not good but somehow he let us go with just a warning. He was talking automatic loss of license, $500-600 fine and mandatory court date. Needless to say we toned it down a notch or two. 66 in a 30 was stupidity on my part but are speeds had been on the HIGH side the whole way before getting stopped. WE are planing to head back over on Sunday as well but not sure the rte. yet

Sux you almost got busted. Anyone that rides with me knows Im fairly slowly (6 yrs no blues!!) ... very familiar with the area I'm pretty cognizent of the gauntlet zones (esp on bike week!!)

Yeah stupidity for sure, this was the first time in 20 years being pulled over on my bike. I don't remember the town but it was after Bethlehem and just before the Mt Washington Hotel. Sunday is looking decent so we'll be heading that direction , where ever the road takes us.
