Official Press Release
What: 2010 VTBN Super Cycle Showcase
When: Saturday, July 31st
Where: The Champlain Mill and River Walk, Winooski Falls Av., Winooski Vermont
Time: 10-3
Vermont Bike Night is a sport bike oriented group started by Michael "Doc" Lemire and Bill Russell in 2007 with the intent to hold a weekly event for sport bike riders to gather in a safe environment. Our idea was to not only provide a gathering spot where people can showoff their rides, network, and enjoy the company of fellow riders; but also to promote safe, responsible riding while educating those who are young and/or new to the discipline.
We have held a number of events throughout the past 3 years at Donny's New York Pizza in Winooski, from a Charity Fundraiser to a Motorcycle Awareness Day put on each Spring. This year we wanted to put on an event that not only gathered together local dealerships and private motorcycle shops, but also to reach out to those who have rare, custom, vintage, and beautiful bikes locally to come and show them off.
While in some ways, its just another Motorcycle Expo, the focus behind the Event is what makes it unique. Our goal is to promote our Bike Night Agenda of responsible riding, wearing your gear, mentorship, and getting people to the race track where they can explore the potential of their bike safely. The 2010 VT Bike Night SCSC is not just a bike show. Its the manifestation of how Vermonters approach riding these beautiful machines and how they are ingrained into our lives!
What will be there?
Bikes! Along with:
A Race Paddock section with a variety of track and race bikes on display along with Track Day Organizations Boston Moto and Lean Angle Performance School to promote Track Days at NHMS and the Loudon Road Racing Series.
Our local dealerships, Roadside Marine, Cycle Wise "Ducati Vermont", Green Mountain HD, and Land Air Honda/Suzuki will be present along with the private shops of Classic Bike Experience and MotoFab, and a host of other Local Organizations and motorcycle vendors.
Along with all this, we will have a small raffle as well with all proceeds and donations going to the Vermont National Guard Charity Foundation to support or local troops and their families.
While we have a good number of people interested in showing their motorcycle(s) at the actual Showcase, we understand the attrition rate for events such as this is rather large. Life gets in the way, and we understand that.
We need bikes!
What we are looking for:
Exotic: Ex-Ducati, Laverda, MV, Aprilia, Bimota, Benneli
Vintage/Rat: Ex- Norton, BSA, Vincent, Triumph, Royal Enfield
Custom/One-off: Chopper or Show Bike
Highly modified: Sportbike of Cruiser (not just your standards mods, but something unique)
Race/Track Bike: From Vintage 2 strokes to GP Replica's and Local LRRS Heros!
So far all of our advertising for the event has been by word of mouth, but we only know so many riders and enthusiasts. If you would like to enter your bike in the show, please send an email to Bill Russell, or, if you know of someone who's bike could/should be shown, please pass along the info.
All registration forms can be completed on the computer and do not require printing. Please submit the forms electronically to Bill Russell at wrr.design@gmail.com
Thanks very much for your support and interest.

Doc, if you want the full size photo, send me a PM with your email.
Anyone know how to get a hold of this guy?
I think he's the one that does the powder coating...
I googled motobus racing, but can't seem to find it. I'm thinking about dismantling the bike this winter and getting some bits and pieces coated. Thanks,
~Shelby

How many "pieces"? I'm getting pretty good at PCing
I got a quote from Miles and he was reasonable but VT Powder Coating is right down the road in South Burlington and was also substantially cheaper. And a super nice guy too.
I might ride fast but I type really really slow![]()

Those are you're two best bets in the area...I got my wheels done by Tommy Graves and paid way too much for nothing special. I can personally vouch for Miles and his quality of work/attention to detail.
There's pics of a custom Ducati floating around on FB that he PC'd the trellis frame, SA, wheels, and a handful of other bits and pieces a gorgeous bright silver. His quality is always 100%.
But I'm biased too

I had my YZF wheels done by Tommy Graves Customs about 5 yrs ago and they still look pretty awesome. Thought I would save a few bucks and had Miles do a set on my CBR last year and already they are pealing. In fact you can see the old finish underneath! He said he would "redo" them no charge but I prefer to have them done right the first time and thats why everything I need powder coated goes to Tommy. You get what you pay for...those dudes coating for cheap prices are short changing on the prep and process, I promice you that. Just my 2 cents. Safe riding.
first, you seem to be the minority here.
second, i had problem, and a business offers to make it right with no hassle, i'd give em a chance, rather than trying to burn em on a forum where they know and respected. you just look like an asshole.
miles is a standup guy, no need to tarnish that.
