    Re: Worcester Area

I'd love to join you if I had a little more heads-up. As it is now I have to throw the hard bigs on my bike, run down to Suzuki-Triumph of Swansea MA to pick up oil & filter (maybe even do the 500 mile service there), then shop for some better-fitting textile pants.

Next time, or maybe I'll pass you on the way home!

    Re: Worcester Area

I never use AUTOMOTIVE oils in high-revving motorcycle engines. My bike is new and under warranty, so I'll pay a couple extra bucks and buy the oil from the guy that gave me such a great bargain on the bike and will put the dealer stamp for the service in my owner's manual. Oh yeah, and the LAST filter my bike will ever see is a f'n Fram with the cardboard inside it. I'm into preserving my ride, not a couple of bucks every 6,000 miles.

    Re: Worcester Area

Sorry, you hadn't said that's what you were buying. Well, you're right in that because I have on rare occasions seen the 4T motorcycle-specific Mobil 1 oil. I even bought some at AutoZone in Worcester a couple of times. However, I stopped using it when Mobil changed the formula and my bike (which I had also bought new in 2000) started going through a quart about every 3,000 miles (it had over 45K on the bike by then though.) Triumph now switched to recommending Castrol, so I'll stick with that for now. It's so little money involved, I'm not taking chances.

Enjoy your ride tomorrow. I can show you some VERY nice diversions just off that route you mentioned that has a some nice tight twisties in them. Next time.

Riding in a T-shirt? If that's what you mean, then I'll pass. ATGATT for me, and I wouldn't want to be there to see what things look like when a rider goes off in just a T-shirt.

Choices, ain't they lovely to have?
