My Radar, and my vision saved us from 6 speed traps!!!
That would be the one where you warned me about LEO's on Rt. 2 then “over accelerated” past one just 1 minute after the warning. I fogged my screen good laughing at that one ...
As for who went down, I'll offer him the respect of telling his own story once he recovers.

techically you need to have 2 mirrors according to MA law..but it is a great argument....
17. Rear View Mirror. Each motorcycle shall be equipped with at least one mirror so placed and adjusted as to afford the operator a clear, reflected view of the highway to the rear and left side of the motorcycle. Check mirror(s) and reject if:
Mirror is cracked, broken, tarnished or reflective surface is peeled.
Mirror will not hold adjustment or is not mounted securely to prevent excessive vibration.
The mirror contains sharp edges, projections or irregular indents capable of producing injury.
Mirror does not provide a minimum of 10 sq. inches of reflective surface for a convex mirror or 12 sq. inches for a flat mirror.

It was a good ride, thanks for leading the pack MikeOriginally posted by Half Squid
Hate to say it but that road has bitten a few of my friends. (Seven) The dirt trench crossing the road freaked me out, that I know, I can see why it happened.. Sucks big time, hope he is doing good. That bump on his leg was HUGE...
And so the saga continues.. Another ride and a rider down and yes I was present... I don't even want to know the tally now.. I really hope it has nothing to do with me?![]()
It was a great day, I heard someone comment on how slow we took the roads around the Res in Clinton/ To be honest yes I took it easy. I was trying to keep 22 bikes in one group, and I was trying to keep us from drawing cops attention. I think I managed that. My Radar, and my vision saved us from 6 speed traps!!!
After we split off from the main group, our pack of six tore shit up! Unfortunately we had one downed rider at the end of our journey..Ask the guys how our session was on 116 & 8A ? Minus the incedent it was

Having been one of the riders that went down on a group ride with you Mike, I can say, Don't take it personally. All joking aside, it's no reflection on you...And so the saga continues.. Another ride and a rider down and yes I was present... I don't even want to know the tally now.. I really hope it has nothing to do with me?
Hopefully the the rider who went down is Ok, can learn from it, and will get right back on...

Hey Mike, not to your fault you did a great Job and lead me on one of the better rides I've gone on.. those were some tough roads... I think it was a combo of tough roads, exhaustion and maybe some other things.. but yea that was a shitty spot for the trench in the road i got a little squirly ther the first time we went up so when we came back i had a mental note of that.. when that guy said someone went down that was the first thing that popped into my mind i knew it was there.. but anyways Great ride from start to finish, Mike you can lead a ride i'm on any day Great Job...
I talked to him today and i went and picked up his bike with my friends bike trailer.. he is doing good he went to the ER when we rode back into town just some Bump and Bruising, but nothing unhealable.. i don't know if he follows this forum so i don't know if he'll post bike is not really bad just Plastics Left lower, right lower, and uper with HL assemb. and new gauges but nothing major from the triple tree back is fine.. forks are good and he'll have to check the rim but all in all not a bad Winter Project..

i will secound thatyou rode fast...but it was YOUR ride you were riding. thats what every one needs to do ride YOUR OWN ride thats it. i know just before we got to the gas station in smal townville the roads were good then ruff, i road the best i could went faster threw them than i would have if i was solo or leading but i never went faster than i couldnt handle. i dont need to impres any one and not afraid to be slower, hell latter in the day i could hardly keep up to the tail lights of a girl
she is faster than me and i dont care
i just need to get faster thats all
but it was a good ride and i would follow mike on any ride

Be careful with that! It's important to understand that responsible riders (often those that you look to catch or keep up with) practice riding faster on the track. There they can safely increase their speed and lean angles in a controlled environment while repeating the same turns over and over again.Originally posted by fasterthanu

When these riders hit the streets they are actually slowing down and leaning less than they can so they may react to surprises thrown at them on public roads. Think about that before you try keeping up with them. It’s not worth risking yourself and your bike at 110% of your level to catch a rider that’s riding comfortably at 80% or less of their ability? If you can’t catch them on the track, don’t even try to keep up with them on local roads.
I know everyone can’t schedule or afford track days. My point is more to emphasize that practicing increased speeds and lean angles on public roads is much less forgiving and a lot more dangerous.
thanks for the concern robi appreciate that. i didnt mean that i was gonna just try real hard on the street to be faster. although that is where i have all my riding in, unfortunatly i havent been to the track yet (actually that is how i found NESR is looking for track days) i do look forward to it and hope to learn as much as i can there
but like i said also im not afraid to be slower than someone else, its just the way it is
any way look forward to riding with ya again you know some good roads (exept when they turn to dirt
) and also lead a good ride
