Well that was fun and 'interesting'. My fat butt on my whopping TTR125 was a total blast to ride. This was my first time riding in the dirt so it was 'interesting' getting passed by the 7-9yr olds on their 50cc bikes while I struggle trying not to put my body on the inside of the turn :-p

Great times, already looking for TTR upgrades, and ready to go back!

The people there were really cool and thankfully very tolerant of my utter lack of control, talent, speed, and general knowledge about anything dirty :-p

This is encouraging, as I'm very much a dirt noob. I've spent a few hours on the XR zooming around the yard, but I have no idea what I'm doing.

I had wanted to make it last Sunday, but a pile of things came up and there was no way. If this Sunday is a go, I'll plan on making it happen.

FYI, I was running full track gear as I don't own a single stitch of dirt riding gear...no one batted an eye.

I did see a lot of people digging dirt out of their mouths though...I am not entirely certain why you would want to wear a helmet with an open viewport when the guy in front of you is slinging dirt and rocks at you...I think I will stick with my full face helmet.

Probably not a problem in November, but it gets hot in those closed helmets.
