First Bike Night in CRANSTON

Whats up guys and Girls,

My father and I have a Restaurant / Pub in Cranston that we recently opened. We are starting a Bike Night in CRANSTON.
The first Bike Night will be this Thursday June 25th.
We will be offering a diner special, with drink specials. We will also offer a trophy for the best bike at bike night. Along with the great food and prizes we are happy to say Twisted Throttle will be our key vendor for the event.

We would love to have NESR represented there for the kickoff of bike night. We would love for you to come ride in and check us out...

We are hoping this becomes a great family gathering where bikers can bring there family with them and have good old fashioned fun time. All bikes welcome.

For some background on the restaurant, my father Luigi opened a restaurant Vechia Roma at this same location 25 years ago. As he got older he decided to retire and move to Florida. (Typical) So Luigi closed the restaurant and rented the space. He moved to Merritt Island Florida and retired. That lasted about two weeks. After coming home with nothing from a fishing trip he ventured to a local hot dog dive for some Lunch and left with a new venture. Well here we are again, after re-retiring what does my father do, he moves back to Rhode Island and gets restless..(Not so typical) His idea was to open a place where people could bring their family, friends, and get some quick eats for a great price and enjoy themselves without the stuffy restaurant feel... We offer everything from old world Italian Dishes to the best chilli dog around. We would love to see everyone come by and check us out...

I am not into drinking/riding either, but I know the OBVIOUS, that one is not mandated a beer at the door...

Thanks for your opinion, now go have yourself a nice sassparilla. I love and one or two spread out over the night ain't gonna kill you. Too many, yeah, there's a problem. I got over 10 years on you , Doc, and yes, the one time I hit the pavement was due to way too many beers. Live and learn, that's old school cycle riders ed.

To be old and slow you have to be young and stupid...

My father has 20 years on me and does poker runs where he has a few beers at each bar and rides with 12 packs in his saddlebags. Doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do. But I can't change his mind either.

I like to drink but I won't do it on the bike. I will have a couple and drive a car but cars are ALOT easier to drive than it is to ride a bike.

I don't know about this rationale, but whatever. You're definately entitled to voice your opinion but I felt this was an odd time to do it. The gentleman was inviting us to stop by his restaurant for food & drink, and a biker meet and greet. It's kinda nice to be actually invited to a first-time bike night and I think a "thanks" would have been more appropriate, but that's just my opinion. I don't want to ruffle any feathers so lets just agree to disagree............
That said, noodles44 and I checked it out last night. Very nice people, reasonably priced and delicious food, and $1 drafts. A couple of the guys from Twisted Throttle were there and there were a few t-shirt, etc raffles. Turnout was light but that was fine, as the parking area isn't huge. I'll definately head back there whenever possible. Thanks to Paison for the heads up, and to his dad, Luigi, for a nice experience.

what's your schedule for these bike nights? will it be every thursday, or is this just a one time trial to see the attendance? that's really cool of you to offer this for RI guys

Jim, this is too far of a ride for you. You'd have to put the bike in the truck and drive it to Nate's house.
