    Doc-

Got a friend in the hotel business in Burlington. I'll shoot him an email and see if he can help out with discounts on rooms.

Are you looking for strictly motorcycle-related stuff to raffle? If not, I can try to help with donations. I've got some contacts in the community from past events I've helped with.

Count me in for that night and I'll try to round up some friends, too.

I have a lot of friends that like to drink. . . . Is that kinda how this works? The booze they buy goes towards Aj?

That would be SWEET although I don't know how many out of towners we are going to get on such short notice.

I think anything would be good to raffle. I just hope we get a good turnout or the raflle prizes might be overkill and not pull in as much money as they could.

I'm TDY so working on getting his email address so I can get in touch. He's usually willing to set up the discount and if folks use it, then great. If not, no big deal.

Then how about doing just a 50/50? Nothing to get but tickets and usually raise a lot of money -- especially the more people drink

50/50 is good. I have a roll of tickets.

Also I was thinking Raffle ticket prices should go like this...

    2-$10
    6-$20
    15-$50
    30-$100

Anyone opposed to a $5 "Donation" at the door? Like a cover?

Heard back from my friend in the hotel industry. In his words, "As always we stand ready for the home team." When I get the details (location, address, price) I will post them up.

I would be willing to pay a cover, however, how do you determine who is there for the Drunkathon vs. who is there as a "normal" customer at Donny's? Perhaps give folks the option of making a donation and leave a jar on the counter. Then you could even put a flyer with AJ's story on it - I'm betting some customers might donate at that point, too. My two cents.

I think this is going to be a "private" party.

Roadside Marine and Cyclewise are donating raffle items, and I'm hoping they will donate money as well, AND some individuals from each shop might be there on the 30th as well!

ADVrider inmate Crankshaft (real name Aaron -- the guy I got my studded tires from) has offered to donate a MotoZ 140/80-18 knobby tire for the raffle.

So I just got off the phone with my mom. Her and my dad are gonna come up from Mass on Saturday for the Drunk-a-thon! She also said she'd donate $100 AND she's gonna put a quilt she made into the raffle.
Along with my parents I've been talking to some friends of mine and I might be bringing a car load or two of people from campus to come hang out.

Re: Vermont "Drunkathon" 2010 (January 30th)

Alright friends! We are meeting tonight to finalize things for Saturday! Just in case ya'll missed it in the first post, we have some AMAZING raffle prizes to give away.
The big ones are Trackdays from BostonMoto and LAPS, A FREE Dyno Run from Rob's Dyno, and a personal haircut by Justin Cruz himself, valued at over $90 (gentlemen, think Valentines Day HUGE bf/husband points). A lot of other stuff is coming in daily as well.
If you are planning on coming, or have family/friends who are confirmed, if you could please PM me so we can put together a somewhat accurate # of people so we can plan food and set-up logistics. This is going to be a great night for a even better purpose. Jason, Doc, myself, and the Bike Night Crew are very thankful for all the support thus far, keep it coming, and I can't wait for Sat night!
