Very nice. Will be in touch next year. I just barely had new tires mounted/balanced for $70 at roadside.

I was in MA, still have the house there... Renting it out. Meg and I moved up here and were crashing in an Apt for a few months (July-Sep). The re-surveyed lot took a bit, but we finally closed in the end of Sept. Loving it up here... Missing my bikes... plenty of dirty toys, but just Meg's FZ6 for the street ATM.
I sure hope the Harley tires cost more to spin and balnace .
Awesome price for an awesome service Kitt.
I would post it up on Craigslist every 45 days and let all the people know about it .

was thinking about $5 pain in the ass fee for tubed stuff, but alas, I think $15 for people I know, $20 for craigslist - It'll be worth my time. Big thanks to the Magician for road tripping (driving my truck) to syracuse and back for the machine sat. It's an awesome machine, and I believe it'll do car tires up to a certain sidewall height.
I was doing them for free for friends, $15 each for strangers on my mojo blocked HF changer, which was a pain. I was pumped that the snap on doesn't need any mods to be scratch-free, so I figured I would offer up the service. I happily paid my friends before I had the means to do it. Next year I should have a nice spot dedicated to mechanical work at the house, and eventually a metal shop to boot. Balancing play/house build/wedding/hobby $.
Think a "fill wanted" sign outside my house would score me some track material?![]()

I was just busting your balls. I know it can be a pain in the ass, and there is a reason the garages charge $35 a tire.
I bought the no-mar set up this spring. I've gotten better at it, its nothing like the coates machine that I learned on to do car tires. I can do 2 tires in about 30 minutes if no one is talking to me. start up a conversation and it turns into a hour. balancing takes the longest time because i'm a bit of a freak and want to make sure i get it as perfect as I can.
BTW, pit bike tires suck. too small for my machine and tools, and i marked the heck out of brett's when he came over to swap one of his.
What kind of risk are you taking if you mount some strangers tires from craigslist and he gets a flat a few miles later and crashes. Then his family sues you for everything you own. Seems like that's the way it goes these days in the good ol USA. Maybe you should look into some kind of insurance?
meh, fair enough... it seems like there's a pretty good sense of community up here, but it hasn't been a problem in the past. I have looked into the liability of helping people with maintenance, etc. and it's actually not as risky as it first seemed.
I would hate to see that happen to anyone trying to help others with discount services, but I have a decent umbrella policy.
edit: is this you hinting that you are suing me for breaking my quad? I mean... you could have been hurt!
