Question Anyone in BTV have a "hub tamer" aka

"hub shark" or "FWD bearing puller"?

If anyone has one that they would be willing to loan/rent it out to me for an evening, I would be greatly appreciative!

Mine are in MA... but before I had em, I made my own with large sized sockets, and some hardware.

You might be able to rent one. I don't have one for you though.

I have a 12 ton press you are welcome to come use but I assume you are trying to avoid removing the steering knuckle? Just fyi you can use some of the metal conduit adapter pipe up at lowes and a $20 race and bearing installer to do the same thing though it is a rather hick vt way of doing it. Did you try bond / autozone etc? The 'rent' all that stuff out free.

Exactly! I'd like to avoid an alignment.

None of the local FLAPS rent this specific tool out and I was hesitant to make a cobbled together version.

I ended up ordering one online last night. It'll pay for itself after 2 bearings and I looooooooooove buying tools so...

    Check local auto parts places.
Auto Zone near us loans them out.

As mentioned in the post above yours... Auto Zone, Adavance Auto, BOND, Car Quest... none of them had this tool for rent/loan.

Yeah, I am the same way. When you mentioned this I did a mental check and went 'nope' and went online to see about ordering one haha. I really need to finish up my 'tools manager' program I wrote a while back. Lets me track what I do and do not have very quickly and easily and I am to the point where I need that

Wow... that sounds pretty cool! I'm curious what your master list of "must have" tools looks like.
