Great idea -- sell a bike that works for one that needs to be rebuilt. Besides which, it still doesn't solve the garage problem.

That bike is way to nice to make a Cafe build. You need to find one cheaper, more cosmetically beat up, and more mechanically sound.

I know a cafe project starting with a cosmetically trashed but mechanically viable (starts and runs) K0 750. I'm hoping he snags this one to make it purtier.

I think if it were fall I would snag that bike...or something very similar. Cafe Racers are great winter projects, otherwise wouldnt have the time in the summer! A cafe racer is definitely on the to do list though, Ive got the tools, and garage for it!

CB 750, aka Nighthawk are pretty common bikes and usually pretty cheap new. That model did not change much from later incarnations. I'm pretty positive that thing will run. The only issue with them is that they are very heavy, exhaust alone weighs a tonne.

Yup, which is why you should check out a CB 550! Like the '76 I have in my woodshed that has Z-bars on it, custom under-slung exhaust, and the solo fiberglass, snap on, cafe race-tail. Yes, its for sale.

Well...you don't really want to at this point. Body work is off for paint, and it needs tires and a batt...all of which would be replaced and painted (or not) for the potentially buyer.

No secrets...a few people know about it...I have to wait till July to officially list it, unless someone comes along with a good offer, as I am only part owner. Gotta see what Tim wants to do with it when he gets back from his x-country road trip.
But, its still a cool cafe project, and it is for sale for someone who's serious about a project like this.
