Hey man, welcome to the forum! We are always glad to see new riders! You may even be able to find a group of riders to hook up with for the ride in if you don't have some already. Not sure who all is out near Newport but maybe someone here knows? See ya tomorrow!

Friggin pissed. Spent 2.5 hours going through the wiring harness on the motorcycle. Checked every little thing. Replaced the whole harness for the regulator/rectifier. Tested the bike along the way. No problems, ran great, no popping fuse. The SECOND I decide I am done and it is working great it pops the main fuse again. Wasn't even started up yet. All I did was turn the key to prime (FI) and the pump wound up then 'pop'. W3$Y^&#$%^#$!!!!!!!

So, no flag for me tomorrow. Possibly no bike but hey, I'll still swing by for a bit.

I can't figure out what else would be bad. I have checked the harness for shorts and replaced the wiring. Everything else has separate fuses. If it were a short it would blow when the bike is being moved around while off. If it was the RR it would just blow period on or off moved or unmoved. If it was the stator the bike would have to be on. That leaves very little. Basically just the fuel pump which pumps and seems just fine. GRRRRRRR
