I'll help if you like, but only if you do NOT go with a "face" headlight, the kind where its like a gas mask or something and the lights are eyes. I will not be a part of a build such as this. otherwise I am open to help
good luck whatever u do man
I find it funny that this is one of the first posts that I read after our conversation regarding said gas mask headlight. Seriously though, your light is supposed to help you see, if it doesn't it do that, then it isn't worth anything. Valuing looks over function in a headlight is a really bad place to make that compromise.

The post before mine was deleted.
Im over it now. I found replacement parts and been working on it, etc.
Tough crowd! :hbang2:
Good to hear... don't forgot to share some pics ... it's good food for the thread coyotes. ;)
You are aware there has been some talk about a spring ride to Newport for Thai food....so... now you have a unannounced indeterminate deadline to finish... nothing like a deadline to help move along a project.
I have posted all of various mundane maintenance activities ... nothing but love from the VT Crew. (...and I ignored the rest) I haven't decide what mundane maintenance activity I will share next... cable lubrication, adding a 12V accessories outlet, actually adjusting both my mirrors so I can see what is behind me, re-aiming my headlight (...although I do like how it lights up my front tire...pretty spiffy) .. your project has inspired me to work on my headlight & tail lights... I want to replace the standard bulbs with something with a little more illumination for visibility of the road & me while riding at night.
I would take up Baggey's offer to use his garage ... my only reservation is I am not sure he actually lives there... each time I have dropped by the place is empty.
Well what im doing now is fixing my fairings, and ill be painting them soon. I have new levers coming in, should be here in a few days. Whatever i vented about before, i fixed.
Ill post up pictures soon. I changed a lot on the bike since the incident.
OJT is a beotch
After many expensive failures you will someday be greeted with the compliment
"Well its easy for you, you're handy"
So here it is:
My friend painted my bike and the design you see there is what i drew myself with sharpie, and he hit it with a clear coat. The color on the bike is a base which from a Mclaren, top coat from a lexus, and a metalflaked out CC.

Nice job with a sharpie !
But if its street fighter , next time maybe not so much detail, the simpiler the design , the easier it is to fix.
i like it, lets get some side shots to get the full effect.
I love that Lamborginni ( i think it's a lambo) with this paint job
My old Fireblade was painted like that @ one point in it's life.

Yeah its a Lambo that got a sharpie job. That picture there is from my storage unit. I cant really take it out cause then i cant put it back... So thats all i got. I just ordered a new fastener kit so the new paint job doesnt get damaged too much. Only thing i need to do is buy a Puig or ZG windscreen, EBC brakes, and im good to go.
