Wanted: Clean Fill

It's late in the season but if you talk to your town road commissioner you can ask them drop off the fill from when they ditch the roads. It's usually decent fill but it'll have invasive species in it as well as some litter. Follow up with a couple of 12 packs some Friday afternoon and you'll be on thier good side for a few years. They might even chose to miss your mailbox when they are plowing...

I'm not sure I like "invasive species". It wont be used in my lawn, but i dont want anything that could result in wind-blown weeds.

Mainly what I found was wild parsnip. If it's mowed before it goes to seed for two years than it dies back.
