you should get another wii fit setup to do with her, couples who work out together often really enjoy it, but only if its not a contest.

Funny how the spouses can be such a great motivation. My fitness is contagious around here.... My wife gets super fit whenever my (pedal) cycling picks up. Whenever I go out for a training ride she almost always goes running. I took an extra day off last week. When I told her I wasn't going out she said, "thank god! I need a day off!"

Same thing here, the new girlie has been a def. motivational force for me... plus it's pretty sweet having a personal yoga instructor who pays extra special attention to you before, during, and most importantly... after

Doc, if you are serious about loosing weight, being in shape, blowing off stress, and feeling better...as well as gaining HP on the track, I would be more than happy to set up a time for us to hit the gym together 3-4 days a week. It will suck, and it will hurt, and you'll be on a meal plan, but it will work!

And we can talk about racing while we lift!

Very nice of you man. I don't work out well alone. (can't stay motivated without an ass kicking, must be a military thing) What Gym?

I have a bunch of high intensity circuit training work outs that I can put together for you guys if you have the cajones to hit it hard. The best one is the Spartacus Workout. Couple that with some Intervals and you should see dramactic results. Takes some dedication, and it hurts...but sooooo worth it, build great endurance and stamina, along with super caloric burn!

    Re: Doc's Weight Loss thread

    Dichotomous - 229lbs

I used an online BMI calculator, and I would have to be less than 200lbs to be considered normal weight. Yet, if I am in shape and athletic (can ride a road bike 30mi at average of 18mph, can run a few miles, look and feel good, yada yada) I am at lowest 210lbs, anything less than that and I lose enough muscle mass to start being weak. I think the BMI is a fairly failed system, it takes no accounting of lean mass, just overall size and height. not that I am very good on any scale right now, waist measurement is too high, BF% too high. havent measured them but I know they are too high
