    Borrow your bike...promise to behave

    Hello friends,
I'll be coming back home for a little R n R in July...and Im bringing my girl with me ;D. Gotta meet the parents ya know! I wanted to take her for a 2 up tour around the lake, up to the Islands, down to Middlebury, etc. Shes never been to New England before. Anyway, nothing crazy, don't care what kinda bike it is, if you are willing to let me take it for a day or two. She'll get washed, waxed, full tank.

And for those who are like..."Duuuude, Bill, with your history...really?"

I'm a changed man k, no more crazy street shit. Everythings cool. Really. I let it all hang out on the track. I commute on the street. FOR REAL. I'll even provide references.

Thanks guys, Ill be home for about 10 days, and I'm very much looking forward to it!

    Two questions.

What if you promise NOT to behave?
Can I smell the seat after. No need to ask which seat.

Just don't try and bump start the bike if it stalls. Can't help it.

    Enjoy the time.

    Reliably... umm well... It runs.

Hold 2 people? Sure... I just don't think it will go over 45mph with 2.

Really offering? See the first 2.

All seriousness it is a cafe project I have that is still being worked on and you are desperate to even consider a bike of this vintage. Sorry I have nothing else in the stable suitable.

If all else fails, talk to Eric at MotoVermont and rent one of his BMWs.

And also, come to Bike Night and say hi!

When in July are you going to be up? Depending on the timing, I might have an SV with your name on it. Downside: it's in Boston, so you'd have to go a little out of your way to pick up/drop off.

Oh, we'd make due to ride a bike like that Eric...though with such a short amount of time, its tough to grab anything that isnt local ya know. Same thing for the SV David. Thanks very much for the offer. But getting back and forth would just be killer on time with family and friends.

Well, I've looked into the possibility of renting, and its not viable financially...and though I'll ride an HD, I def won't rent one. Nope.
