Motorcycle Awareness Day 2009. Looking for vendors

I am in the planning stages of my 2nd Motorcycle Awareness day up here in Vermont.

Last year went well and I am looking to expand. I am in talks with the Champlain Valley Expo to make this a HUGE event.

Hopefully we will get space at the EXPO but if not it will be in the Fanny Allen Hospital parking lot under EZ-UPs.

What I am wondering if there is anyone that would like to make the trip up to show of thier stuff.

Boston Moto? GMD? Tony's Trackdays, Carls trackdays? Just abotu anybody would be welcome and it will help to make the event even better.

I am also looking for Raffle donations again this year. The proceeds of the raffle will go to support the Army National Guards Family readiness group (they help families of deployed soldiers when they are in need).

Thanks to Tony's trackdays for the trackday raffle prize last year! We also had donations from local vendors.

Post up if you would be interested in attending, even if it is just as a spectator.

Updates:

Tony's Trackdays have donated a Trackday to be raffled for an 09 date at NHMS (tickets on sale soon!)

I had a meeting with the Champlain Valley Expo http://cvexpo.org/expocentre.aspx It looks like it is a go but I have to change the date to May 16th.

Also because this event will be indoors at the Expo there will be a small fee per vendor. The more vendors the smaller the fee. ($50-100).

The Expo is VERY excited about growing this event in the years to come. I think this is a great step to adding some professionalism to the event and I am hoping it will bring more vendors to it.

There will still be oppoutunity to do the Slow Drag race and have other outside events if the weather is nice. If it isn't nice out we will have a perfect indoor showcase (there may even be space for inside skill demo/ slow race if the weather is not so good)

Tell me what you think. I am working on a Possible vendor list to send out a mass email. If you have contact that you think would like to be included let me know.

Maybe we could get Jason Britton (sp?) out for a stunt show. Rides with gear, promotes stunting in safe areas etc... You never know, being that VT doesn't have much in the way of sportbike stuff, he might jump on it and show up.

Personally I don't much care for the idea of having a Motorcycle Awareness Day indoors, but whatever works... Plus I'll be out of town on May 16.

Update.

Saturday April 18th is the new date.

The Shelburne Museum is having an event May 16th that conflicts with the old MAD date.

Good new is this will be during the Home and garden show which is a big draw for the area and might draw more people to the MAD if I play the cards right.

Gonna sign a contract with The Champlain Valley Expo soon.

More Vendors are welcome to attend/ donate.
