Parking in B-town and bike storage

    Two quick questions:

-In Burlington, where in the garages in the Church Street area are there places for bikes, or areas where I won't get towed?

-I sadly, live in an apartment with no overhead cover for parking and will probably be looking for a place to store the bike in another month. Any suggestions where to look for storage solutions?

    Thanks in advance.

The easiest place to park are the motorcycle only spots, though they are on the street and not in the garage. There is a spot at the corner of Main and Church (across from the restaurant "Church and Main", Main and St Paul (one in front of TD bank, one in front of City Hall Park). No meters, almost always going to be open, but no overhead cover. I have had trouble getting past the garage sensors (without room to go around the gate), so you have to be careful. Also remember that you pay as you leave the garage, and they likely won't let you just sneak by.

Oh yeah, I know where you're talking. I did have trouble with the sensors today at the garage under the mall; I normally park in the closest garage to the movie theater and haven't had problems there.

Heh, that's exactly the garage I had trouble with, and backing up the 520 pound Sprint, on an incline, with a car behind me was not fun.

What about renting a storage unit for the winter? Last winter I shared a 10x10 with a buddy for our bikes and it was $55 a month.

That's a good idea. We do storage at the Daily Rider for $200 for the season, so if you can split a unit with friends, looks like you can cut that down a bit.
