Oops, I guess those are DeWalt.

My co-worker took these the other day. I guess it was completely silent, so those batteries aren't just strapped on their for looks.

There are a number of electric motorcycle kits or plans around, usually based on 250's. Some will achieve highway speeds for a reasonable distance.

Dave Blittersdorf, founder of NRG Systems, rides one to work. Vectrix in MA makes an electric Scooter.

Looked into it but found an electric bicycle to be a lot more practical.

Oh, they make "facial vibrators" now too?

The DeWalt 18V packs have their cells manufactured by A123 Systems. Their performance is exceptional - so exceptional there are now counterfeits.

A number of folks have used them for ebikes. They are not ideal as sold, but because they are widely available, have been used.
