Rider down on Bank & S. Winooski, 7/1 at ~6:30PM

Looked like a pretty severe crash involving a red late-model CBR600RR and possibly a car. At the time that I saw, bike was lying down in the intersection and rider was lying on the sidewalk being worked on by medics, not moving. Full face helmet but didn't see jacket, might have already been cut off by the EMTs. Anyone know what happened? Bambino, please check in and tell me that wasn't you...

yeah, in retrospect the bike didnt have as much black on it as yours, but all I saw was the top. It was a male rider, but didnt see much else. I was crazy worried and didnt stick around rubbernecking.

Apparently there was another rider down on Battery Street Friday night, but he seemed to be in good enough shape to be yelling at the woman who hit him (or whom he hit, dunno the situation). Or so I was told, anyway.

Yeah. It's my buddy Sam Conant. He is not fine. Actually he's pretty fucked up and if he survives it'll be a fucking miracle..... Lot's of broken ribs and bruised organs, currently STILL in ICU with a maintained coma as he's had 2 major and 2 minor strokes. No electrical activity on one side of is brain..... I'll be heading up to visit tomorrow and am hoping for the very best..... Fucking stupid douce bags who can't pay attention to people there turning left in front of...... I've know Sam since 1985 and this sucks...... FUCK!
