About 12:10 in Waterbury sounds right -- I was thinking we could meet at the Champlain Farms (I think it's a Gulf station? or maybe it's the Shell Adam was talking about; I can never remember what brand it is) on the left just after getting off the interstate onto 100 North. But the Shaw's parking lot is fine too. Just let us know where you'd rather meet.
Parker, see you at 12:30 at the Shed (and yes, I was thinking about eating lunch there, but if no one else wants to we can skip it).

lunch would be good, ill be starving at that point. you guys thinking of making it a good ride? i might donn the full leathers but dont wanna be the only guy sweating my ass off if were just cruisin lazily.
I expect there to be a lot of cops out today, so I'm thinking the pace won't be nuts, but I've also planned out a route mostly on roads less likely to be patrolled heavily, so the pace can be good in the twisties at least.

good call, there will be a few po-pos out i imagine. where you planning?
Michelle and I may meet you @ The Shed. We will be in full gear, it's how we roll...... :teehee:
Lets go for the shell on 100N across the road from the now defunct Mobil.
The Gulf station is actually in town on RT 2, it's also the booze store and what not, just down the road from Parros. But I'll aim for the Shell station at 12:10
I got a little bit of a ride so I'm gonna head out soon to wake the pig up (and lube the chain) and hit the bank.
See you fellas in a bit :D
Edit....I as well will be head to toe in gear
cool beans, you wearing your leathers too?
95% of the time I am.
Heading out now. Shell @ 12:10
word. see you there
Good ride today, guys. That was fun!

Thanks for the good ride lead today Mark! I'm hoping to see my balls again some day....
+1! good time today, a bit sore tho
thanks for planning that route mark, i hadnt been up through jay in a looong time, and never on a bike. except for the bumpy part of 242 it was a hoot. 118 was fun too
Yeah, I thought I remembered more of 242 being repaved. I'm pretty sore too.

Did you guys stop in bristol aroun 1-2 today?
wasnt us...we went northeast
Thanks for letting me ride sweep. We had a good time.:beerbang:
Excellent ride, minus the really bad section. Definitely a good loop though and I had never been on the twisties by Jay...they were pretty slick.
Before we parted ways we were talking about chain wax vs Dupont multi-use spray wax (I call it liquid teflon in a can) and Jake had asked for a link so I figured I'd post it here if anyone else is interested in checking it out.
I don't think it lasts as long as chain wax, after a few hundred miles you'll hear your chain singing to ya. But the cleanliness of this stuff compared to chain wax? I'll take it...and have no trouble lubing the chain every 2-300 miles.
I usually get mine at Ace hardware, but it's available in other locations
i might give that stuff a try when i run out of the maxum wax i have now
Yeah, I love the Dupont stuff. I think it's largely responsible for the 31,000+ miles I got out of the stock chain on my V-Strom.

Tis by far the cleanest.
And you can use it on nearly everything. Alpinestars boots love to squeak like hell. So I hit mine with a quick shot of that Dupont stuff... Shut them right up :D
