From Vermont to NJ, about 5 1/2 hour ride. First time since January that the ex is actually gonna watch the kids on my days off, this Saturday through next Tuesday.
Besides the fact that OMG it's winter, etc. What would be a go/no go for that long a trip weather wise?
Route: 7 South to Vergennes, 22 to 4 (Whitehall), then NYT to the NJ border. When I go in warmer months I would try to bypass the Thruway, but I figure I've gone this road for 10 years, know it, and less likely to be taken by a surprise turn in a new area, plus outside of Albany and the last 10 miles before NJ the traffic isn't too bad, and the rest stops are well placed so I don't have to think about it.
Am I just being stupid thinking about it this time of year?
