Hey guys, I fixed a leak in the skid steer my 2nd day at the new house (not wasting anytime) and started wandering through the smaller trees and brush to attempt a clear out.
I am really just making the trail as I wonder through, aiming for elevation changes and avoiding huge trees (I have plenty small stuff to cut, but trying to reduce cutting down the hardwood).
Anyway, the skidsteer is waiting on a new drive belt at the moment (should be fun to install), but I hope to be back up and running this weekend. It uproots most of the small stuff, but could use a hand clearing some brush and cutting the trees that require it. I expect a mile long loop to take several days of work, but asking anyone who may wanna ride it or drink free beer to come down and help when you can.
The loop will most likely be without any man-made jumps this year, as just completing the loop and getting laps around it to wear it in will take me through the beginning of winter.
Looking to put in at least 10 hours the weekend of the 9th/10th.
Let me know!
what I have to barter:
meg's cooking
beer
firewood we remove
ride time
use of skidsteer
Sign me up, Riggs has to come along.
I can't do any actual work now due to my damaged appendages, but I'd be happy to lend moral support or ideas. Maybe we can get a few Bike Night folks to come help out.

I'll hopefully be putting the roof on my garage one of those days but I'll see how it goes and see if I can get away for the other one. I'm not 100% active but I can bring a chainsaw and/or a tractor if necessary. It sounds like fun to me!

Sunday would be the day I might be able to help. It would give me Friday and Saturday to put the roof on.

I'd definately be up for swapping work days. Multilple people would make for fun light work on both of our projects.

Rainy damp weather is very good for beating in a new trail.

What day are you shooting for Kitt, the 9th or 10th? I'd come out both days cause your land is stunningly beautiful! But its a bit of a drive from Underhill!

looks like I have a couple visitors coming in from out of town... so I may set this up for the weekend of Bill's party. Maybe sunday? (not sure if a hangover is good for getting work done)...
I'll be working on it before that weekend, and both days on that weekend... so I'll take help where I can get it (but I think I should spend the 9th/10th being a decent host.
Who's still in?
PS Thanks for the compliment Bill, meg and I made a nice big fire pit over by the ledge today4ft dia, about 12" high. should be good for a halloween bonfire or something.
What the hell did you just say? So it's off next weekend and rescheduled for when?
