I gots a new rear battleax to scrub in tomorrow. Too bad we're not meeting up over this way... cool morning temps, cool road, cold tire, unscrubbed, 160+ hp, not quite awake yet...oh yea, you guys are gonna miss a kickass show

I tried to talk Chris (FTMS) into coming along tomorrow but he resisted. Very impressive. I would have caved under the peer pressure

Justin (hellion850) is out. Another time for sure though.

    Till 9:30ish

Heard about a section of Route 9 closed this morning in the general vicinity. Didn't get the exact location. So this post is kinda useless.

    Re: VT/NY Group Ride

About leathers and hot...when not in knee drag mode, unzip your coat a bit. That doesn't do much for you in Middlebury with traffic unfortunately... And it really does nothing for you when fire trucks are 5 feet away with sirens blaring. Thought a D&D exhaust was rude...damn.

We also met a very nice Police Officer who gave us some very bad news about our favorite road. He was a tad redundant though, makes me wonder if he was hoping we'd take off and head back the way we came. He didn't tell us we couldn't ride the road, but he did tell us to go ride somewhere else Anyhow after a recon run we turned around and gave 'em hell. Melted my knee puck, that was cool. I also win the award for most tank slappers in a day. My two to everyone elses zero. HA you guys suck.

btw...anyone have a used after market damper for a K7/K8 gixxer 1k by all means send me a PM.

Definitely a great ride. Cool to see the 848 in person...and it sounds pretty damn good.

I saw you rolling on I-89N between 14 and 15 in your full black leathers. You looked toasty. I felt sorry for you!

Then I realized that you were riding while I was working. I felt sorry for me!

    Re: VT/NY Group Ride

Well let me fill in the gaps!
Once we crossed the bridge, Tyler stopped and gassed up, and Slyder, KB, and JCBell stopped and waited. Bread and I just shot up to the Spring and hung out.
We're just sitting on the rocks, chewing the fat, when a Moriah Police SUV rolls in, and right behing him is the the rest of the crew...interesting.
He then asks us if we are going to "run" T Rd...

I replied, "Yes, and EP, Blue Ridge, head up to E Town. Ya know, around."
Officer, "Well I don't want to tell you guys not to ride here, but you should find somewhere else to ride. We are going to be bringing in a helicopter on the weekends to shoot radar...blahblahblahblahblah."
"Yes sir, thank you sir, we'll keep it down sir." And on his merry way he went, back into town thank goodness.
Cause we tore that shit up!!!!
Great trip guys, freakin hot...sorry I got kinda grumpy towards the end. Always a pleasure. White Mtns next time!

    WEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

My rear tire was mounted up yesterday. As of 7am this morning when I left the hanger, that tire hadn't once seen pavement. That same tire now, as well as it's friend on the front, have absolutely no chicken strips left. Not even 0.5mm

And another tid-bit I forgot to add, my near heart attack as Freak hammers a turn, with me behind him (remember last year...T rd, Aprillia......) and what do I see? Sparks flying every where. Happily this time, no dust. But it's the sparks flying that started it all last summer. Yea anyhow he has metal toe sliders on his booties. I know he was just checking my reflexes, seeing if I was paying attention, etc.

Oh speaking of, you were kinda open with a name above that could compromise said hidden location. Wait, are you trying to get people tickets

    Re: VT/NY Group Ride

I hit up BR Rd and T Rd on the way back from Ithaca today. I was tired by that point, but had fun anyway, and there was almost no one on either road. Shitloads of staties in the western Adirondacks though.

And fuck, it was hot. I thought I was going to spontaneously combust on the way back up to Burlington.

Shitty news about the helicopter. I hope the cop was just yanking your chain. But just in case, everyone remember to look up before ripping that road...

Or just turn off the bikes and listen for a minute or two.

Hey did anyone happen to notice any new perpendicular lines on the road? They don't run radar from the bird, they use timing mechanisms to determine your speed.

I find it really hard to believe this is possible / they will attempt this on a curvy road like T.

I'm guessing they're using scare tactics but I wouldn't want to be the one to test this theory. Upstate NY is probably the worst place to try to fight a ticket.

You're a better rider than me! Getting them mounted first might help a little.

Oh shit... sorry. Wasn't aware these things were secret... being public roads and all. I'll keep my fool mouth shut next time!

And no lines. I was looking for them to. I guess that might be scare tactics. I can't imagine putting a helo into the air is cheap, even for only an hour. But, if they were to do that, the lines might appear earlier that same day.
