I never saw your pitbike on the track or with street wheels...

I'll have to call down to Cyclewise and talk to them. Thanks for that heads up Bill.

Damn it!! I wanted to hear about someone ACTUALLY pissing in someone else's Cheerios....just kidding.

Ok, I keep finding entire 110cc bikes for sale for $500-$700....but are they pieces of crap? I'm trying to do a LITTLE research. Of course if I buy one and don't like it (low power or something...I KNOW I'll like the racing), I can always sell it....right??...

    Hmmmm.

110's are fine i would think.

i think the biggest things you should be concerned with is the pegs/bars/ride height and the wheel size. you might want to buy one that is already set up to accomodate an adult, rather than upgrading a stock honda or something. (unless youre looking for a project)

i bought an import honda knockoff for that reason, it was all set up ready to go. i completely expect things to break, but when they do, ill just upgrade.

Those have sweet close ratio 4 speeds gearboxes, one of the best early import motors you could buy.

Sometimes you gotta put other things first...no job = no fun extras. I have truck body work rocker-panels to take care of, and a race bike bill when I get home already.

bah...let the truck rust through the winter. f it. then fix it the beginning of the spring when you can enjoy the truck for the summer before it rusts again.

A man of my nature has to keep up on new gear, duh...go back to that thread a read my last post, then ask Stoneman for a "foot in mouth" smilie and post that.

Thanks Sandy, but no, gear is a separate bill all together! A pitbike is the next thing in line to buy though...that or a KTM 690SM ...
I've got to get a full time job before I buy anything, leathers, pitbike or a motorcycle...

    Re: VT Pitbike racing

Just got back from MotoGP Indy, took the wife (she flew out last year).

So where we at with getting together?

Where is the possible kart track?

    I'm in Brattleboro

If anyone is in the know about jetting these lil buggers, I could use some advice on getting rid of my lagging throttle out of the hole. I bought the jet kit, made a switch and only little difference. Haven't been racing, so I've been lazy at getting it sorted out. My valves are startin' to make a bit of a racket too?
