Vince is a good guy, he's partly responsible for me getting into dirt... as well as feeding my excessive mini habit in the beginning. Mention me if you want to pay more on your next order!

I know it is a haul for you guys but you might want to check out Box Shop Track in Kezar Falls, Me. on Oct 10. We did have a couple of GP bikes show up last time from up there.

The 10th is an open track day. Free camping the night before. $60 for a full day, $40 for a half. They will run both the GP course and the Motard course through out the day.

This is video from a GP race, but you can also see the Motard course.

    Aright.

I need to line up some DOT/slick/street/motard tires...soon. I have just spent 20 minutes looking online to get them on their way here, with no luck. Found a couple of places, but nothing decent. Any help would be great. Thanks!!

Ummm, no idea...they're in your "subgarage". Everything I've found online are 12", and there is a set of Rims/tires on Ebay from Wholesale Cycle here:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=390227023412

In theory this would work, right? And I could sell the spare rims/dirty tires to Brett. Getting excited to ride the little beast.

It will really depend on the weather. Call me to remind me to look at the rims on your bike.

Oh and i found an extra set of 12 inch dirty tires.

    Holy CRAP!

For two days I've been calling all over trying to find a 12" rear wheel/front wheel for the new pitbike. Beware, that Xtreme uses DRUM brakes which makes finding a rear wheel that is wider than a 1.6 virtually impossible. I tracked one down in Vegas, and hopefully it'll work, so perhaps in a week or two I'll have the 'tard tires mounted and ready...let's get it scheduled.

    Re: VT Pitbike racing

Much easier to just get a new wider rim and lace it to your existing hub.

Do you know off hand if the Extreme has drum or disc rear brakes?

Does the Box Shop Track have a website or schedule? I am working on the 10th, but I am dying to get my 125 on a motard course. I haven't ridden it at all this year.

    Re: VT Pitbike racing

    Aright...

The search is (hopefully) finally over. Just got off the phone with TBolt. Vince and his boss there helped me a TON. Everywhere I looked, finding a front 12" rim with decent width to open up tire choices was virtually impossible. Sure one could go with a 1.40 or 1.60 (what I've got already) but it really limits your profile/width ratio that apprently affects handling, causing the shoulder of the tire to fold if you're draggin a knee (I'm quickly becoming an expert on tire ratios thanks to the thread here).

Vince helped me out a bunch and if you're building a pit bike and don't see something online, give a call, they may be able to help you too.

Anyway, everything should be here soon...It may be up and running for the weekend of the 16th and Billy's shindig. Fingers crossed!

    Cheers
