Wait, what are you talking about here? Sven's latest tag?
Well, tonight marks the 2nd time I've run out of gas playing this game. The last time I ran out of gas at a Mobil station and only because my fuel light was on the fritz. I wasn't as lucky this evening.
I had absolutely no clue where this tag was but it was a nice night so I went out rambling along. Pretty much scoured every square inch of possible lake frontage from Malletts Bay up through Milton. David didn't give many hints.
Got to the Georgia line as it was getting dark and decided to call it quits.
JUST as I turn around she starts bogging out... Hmm, must be ready for reserve. Reach down to flip the petcock around and the the heart sinks -- it was already on reserve.
I'm on a dirt road mind you, and now it's completely dark. And there aren't really any houses around and there certainly aren't any cars going by.
I walk down the road in one direction and when it looks hopeless, I start walking the other way. Eventually a dog starts barking at me and a dude comes out of his house with a flashlight.
I offer up my last $5 if he can spare just a quart of gasoline. He's got gallons and doesn't accept my money. He drives me back to the bike and we talk about sailing and art and about how his dog was attacked by a coyote last summer.
And now I'm finally back. Hours after I wanted to be. Without the tag.
Damn this game.
But I'm putting on more miles than I ever dreamed of putting on in March; and that is a good thing.

It looks more like a private driveway to me. Bike paths are much more narrow than that. David, are bikes allowed on this road or is it like your Winooski boardwalk tag that I had to void?

So, how about 1 more hint?
I still say it is the bike path.

Not that I have time to get there anytime soon, I suspect this is off of Colchester Point Rd somewhere....

I know exactly where it is... but the point of this game is not to post up your theories here for other people to use, but rather to go get the tag... which I haven't had a chance to do, hence my silence on the matter.

I suspect that last hint gave it away. Someone go get it already!

Nice work on this one. I had been down that road before but turned around at the menacing signs so had never seen this incline. I was studying this exact spot on Google Maps and it doesn't look like this from above so I turned my attention elsewhere. Well played.
Only about 10 miles for me round trip, but short enough to lose feeling in my fingertips and to find out that my shield fogs up easily in wet weather. Oh, and that my snowboard pants are no longer water repellent.
New tag within 48... when I thaw out.

Well played sir! Yeah, I was a little nervous about the signs and figured, "oh, this will just dead end in someone's driveway and I'll turn around" but the public road kept going. Had fun exploring though!

Nice one, Justin. I figured you'd probably be the one to beat me to it.

How about a hint? I know not everyone needs one but I want a hint.
David's post above is actually an excellent hint.
