B) new rule: if tag not found in 2 weeks; anyone can set a new tag!

Edit: Could this be on Lake Hortonia? I don't know the area, but it's the only thing resembling a clue that I've been able to find so far.

Considering nobody except you has any ideas, people are begging for clues, and nobody found it this weekend even though it was almost 80, I would say you should try to help. Or you could just keep telling us you know where it is but can't go get it, your choice.

The current tag should be findable, there have been much more random ones located. Just a few more days and I'll be back on the road and on the hunt.

At least one person here knows exactly where it is (SRTie4k). Based on that, it seems silly to just "fuck it, abandon all rules".

I think SRTie4k should just drop a hint, but without telling us explicitly where it is.

Ok, my eyes ( as well as the rest of me ) are getting older. I did not notice the SIGN on the barn until I looked at the photo yesterday and, because of that, ASSumed it was a new photo.

So, for the interest of keeping this going, the sign says "Camp Hiawatha". With the help of Google, I found a reference to Lake Hortonia which is just north of Lake Bomoseen and Rte 30 runs close to this lake. It's too far south for me to explore ( without shirking my work responsibilities ) but I would bet that the barn in question is off Rte 30. Just a best guess at this point.

Yes, I believe its also on Lake Hortonia, but I think it's on Lake Hortonia Road (144) rather than route 30. Unfortunately Google Maps doesn't have street view on 144.

I'm not sure how the mile rule works, but it seems to me that the tag is within the 50 mile limit as the crow flies. If we're counting road mileage, however, its definitely outside the limit. Unfortunately there is no clarity on this in the original rule.

My bike might actually be done this weekend though, so I might end up looking for it regardless.

I don't think it's Lake Hortonia. I've just gone over it in detail on Bing's aerial imagery, which is much higher-resolution and more recent than Google's, and that lake just doesn't seem to fit. There's no matching configuration of buildings, let alone with matching open space and uncluttered opposite shore. Besides, a friend of mine used to live on Lake Hortonia Road just past where this would have to be, so I think I'd probably recognize it. I've emailed him to confirm though.

EDIT: It's definitely not Lake Hortonia. It's a much smaller lake than that, much closer to the previous tag. Yes, I've found it, and yes, it does appear on Google Street View. If no one has grabbed it by this weekend, I'll try to get it myself to get this game moving again.

Naw, just giving the locals crap. Bread and I did our bestest to move said tags away from BTV (after all, the thread title is VT tag-o-rama) but now that we're no longer a part of the equation, I'm most positive the thread title can once again be changed to BTV tag-o-rama. Me thinks said tags will stay north this summer. Though my bike is still in VT. It needs to be moved to NH. I'm gonna ride it, not trailer it. Best make sure the tag is near the canadian border and not central VT when I decide to get the bike

Did anyone address this?
I didn't think the question was whether you move on, cancel the tag, skip the tag or not. I figured if you got a tag, placed a tag, you're at least responsible to subscribe to the thread and follow it if clues are needed. This is Tag o Rama, not ding-dong-ditch.
I haven't checked stats, last I saw he had like 2posts, rest of the regulars bent over backwards for this and always do for this thread.
