What are you looking for? Tracks or wheels and how big. We get them from the auctions all the time. Bobcat, Deere, Cat. Let me know and i'll have the boss keep an eye out. Low hours a must right? Diesel or older gas?

would love a cat on tracks, but alas... max is $10,000... and $7000ish is way better.

Would like it strong enough to pull some stumps out, and push some table-tops around.

    Re: WTB: Skid Steer

    My 2 cents...

I spent 3 months this winter/spring scouring the area for a tracked skid steer for $12-15k. The Cliff's notes of what I learned is that almost every machine in that price range was either high hours or the tracks and usually the undercarriage were going to be due for replacement within the next couple hundred hours. ASV and CAT were my ideal choices because they had wider tracks and would handle soft soil better. They also run about twice as much for replacement tracks. When tracks are replaced on machines it's best to have a serious look at the undercarriage because odds are that some of the rollers etc are worn too.

I ended up getting a 35hp John Deere and couldn't be happier. It takes a bit longer to move soil around but there are a lot less maintenance items and they are much more versitile. A lot harder to get stuck too, especially in the Addison County clay...

Oh yeah, and short term before you find what you want if you want to use the tractor I'll trade you for days swinging a hammer on my garage project this fall...
