Sometimes we get frustrated at racing. These guys have to put up with a homemade track. Few racers. A three month season. Facilities? Vendors? Parts? They don't race like us but have timed runs. VP fuel? I guess they use aviation fuel. Wal-mart down the street? They have dedication. My hats off to them.
Their course is on an airport runway?!? Listed as Southeast Fairbanks; Southeast by 200 miles! I say good for them too, they are at least trying. I am amazed they are dedicated so much.
I've been there. Not on thier course, but camping from NY to Ak and back. We went to Anchorage, Homer the Spit, then up to Fairbanks and back down the Alcan to home, when it was a dirt road.
They may only have 3 months, but it is a busy, long three months; the days do not end, gets like dusk about 3 am then back to full daylight.

Did you notice the lap times? 2 and a half minutes for the fastest guys. I think I would crash looking at the scenery.
Nah, I couldn't get past the fact thier course was like a cone test at the DMV!
