I agree...the idiot next to me lined up almost directly behind david and when david bogged down....BOOM. I have looked at it a lot and to be fair David did get his front wheel turned a little but that crash should have never happened. btw, David was on the blue #28 bike. David is also faster then me as can be seen from our last race of the day where he took 4th place from me.

I intend to give him a run for his $ on the 18th of Feb though. I want to get a bigger rear sprocket (47 tooth...making it -1 +2) and working with an instructor to see what I can do to keep 4th place or even get 3rd back. I may even run some laps with David to see what lines he is running...but that will mean he will get to see my lines too.

I don't think I have to do the rookie race. I did one in Arizona.

I'd be happy to run it for the experience.

Doc, after some thought & discussion w/ others last year I decided to do the rookie race at NHIS even though I did the one at VIR when I got my license. It's included in the price of your first race entry at Loudon & they'll let you run it. It's free tracktime, it gets you more familiar w/ how things work at NHIS and..... well it's free tracktime

Good for the experience. If i had the choice, i'd do it again.

Do it if you can. Go down to the Penguin garage early, tell them your situation, that you JUST got your license elsewhere but haven't raced at NHIS yet & they'll add you to the list.

Just don't let Mike Martire pull you "offsides" at the start

Yeah, yeah. I know. The guys on SBN call her Skittles. I even have some of the people at the track calling her that.
It makes it easy for my wife to find me on the track for pictures. I did notice as well the track photographers took a lot more pictures then when I was just on a single color bike.

Hey, Mike did you get that other race vid I sent to you and did you put it up?... It wasnt anything major but something to look at.

SV that would be the correct location on a normal day but with the temps and the rain that day...being in the location you suggested would be a sure way to cause a low side.

Im not knocking his advise. But on a normal day you would see people in that spot that he mentioned but with the rain and surface temp about 40ish that wouldnt be a good idea.

I rented for the track, this guy wants one for the street. Steve is great and has street bikes...
