Plan is to arrive Wed night and setup camp so I can build a bike Thur morning.
1 Days till Test and Tune day (4/28)
2 Days till First Penguin day (4/29)
3 Days till Round 1 (4/30)
Scramble mode began last night with packing the trailer. I have everything but it looks like a hurricane went through my apartment so theres that too.
I also got a call from Miles, one of his guys will be there with the basic stuff (numbers, plates, tape, zipties, trans holders???) he did say that if any of us need anything specific to call or text the shop number and he will make sure its there. Miles himself as we thought will be at the Moto America round in Jersey.
Do you have an eject?
Shit that reminds me- I need to transfer mine to the new helmet. Any reason not to use spray adhesive inside my helmet?
I'd guess that it's probably OK, but I'd spray a bit directly on the foam in old helmet and see if there's an adverse reaction of any sort.
Aerosol propellants sprayed in a helmet filled with EPS?! Yeah, seems like a great idea! Do it! Just not with my helmet thanks.
First, see if the adhesive remaining on the eject itself is enough to locate the pad in the new helmet. You don't need it locked in, it just needs enough 'stick' to keep it from wandering much over time. Remember that it's also going to be sandwidched between the liner and EPS so it's not going to be prone to move to begin with. If the adhesive isn't working, use a SMALL piece of double sided tape.

"Speed has a kind of affinity for me, it's the time God and I have our little talks."
So, I'm planning on getting to the track tonight. Anyone going to be around to help me unload my 'project'?
If you run into any noob novices who don't have numbers please let them know that I have (currently) somewhere between 6 and 12 of each number available in C8 (red, 6", San serif font) . I hope to have them there by Friday evening, but worst case they will be there Saturday morning. Worst case I'm 20 minutes from the track. If someone is as panicked as I would have been they can come pick them up.
Jason....making sure everyone is prepared.
One of the reasons I made it thru my rookie year of racing...
Give 'em hell.
99 + 02 SV650 ex-race - 91 FJ1200 street - 03 KDX220R woods - 12 WR450F motard/ice
To all the racers. Go fast. Have fun. Keep 'em upright.
Hope to be milling around tomorrow morning and around for the days races.
that GT clock thing is dumb as hell. its a timed race not a timed prerace and race. and I guess they're only 20 minutes long now. I don't know if they just changed it for this weekend but they never said anything either way.
the rules are closer to CCS now than they were last year. ULSB and the 300 classes are in line with CCS so their points count for the ROC.

Trackintel is missing laps in a bunch of races on Saturday... they showed in race monitor though so not sure what the culprit is.
