Some of you might remember I posted season goals threads a couple years back. Well after being out all of 2011 with a wrist injury/surgery/PT/etc, I'm planning to return to race for 2012 and thought it might be good to start this up again.
R6:
Get back to pace (consistent 19's) quickly first weekend
At least a podium on subsequent weekends
AM championship in a class?
Get to the 16-17 time range
Motard:
Get back to pace (22's/23's) in the first few weekends
Have fun and be competitive
Get to 20's or maybe teens
Misc:
Help/instruct riders to ride better at track days
Help rider(s) transition from trackdays to racing who are thinking of making the jump
Try a race at another venue (jersey?) ?
If the times above happen, possibly bump for 2013
Most importantly, have fun and hang out with my friends![]()

Good thread.
I hope to hit 17s on the new bike this year and not get lapped by AM riders. I hope to be smooth and pick up gp shift fast.
I also want to race Jersey at least once. I am planning to get into dirt riding more heavily this year as well and hope to race on that front in a few races too.
Edit: 2012 Pitbike Race Champ!

Good to hear you're going back to it 100%.
My goals pale to yours.... I hope to get a yellow plate.
Oh and Smutty, I don't really know you, but you sound like the kind of guy that gets lapped by the friends of the kids of the racers on their Zumas and shit.![]()

1st thing is to get licensed!
The next goal is to get an am podium and hustle my ass into the 19s.
The number one goal is to spend time with new riders and help them along and watch Emma progress into a solid young rider.
19's or better on the Motard
Have a friggin blast!!!
Get licensed and participate in all race weekends for 2012, with no crashes (ya ok, but I can set the goals high right?)do as well as possible...
meet the people from here that I havent yet, in person.
Improve my track riding and times, dont have a specific number in my head but low 20s would be nice.
obtain as many sponsorships I possibly can
Do as many group/charity rides I managed to participate in 2011 if not more.
outside of the Moto World,
Go back to school and FINISH my degree considering i only got 6 classes left
Finish up the back yard and the deck in my house.
buy a multifamily in Worcester/Shrewsbury
and I think the biggest goal I am setting is in my job, I am hoping for a very strong year and finish No1 in my whole Region (Northeast)..
Good luck with everyones goals and dreams and thank you CEO for starting this thread.. its very inspiring and it would be a good reminder throughout the year.. someone had told me in the past if you want your dreams to come true you gotta write them down, lets see if it works..
Not crash.
Teens.
I'd be happy with a single ex podium.
Cliff's Cycles KTM
NETRA enduro B-vet
Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
Get licensed, figure out this inline 4 thing
Racing:
1) Have fun! (top of the list for both racing and tack days)
2) Top of the box in AM, since I was not allowed to bump
3) Teens
4) Bump to EX (hopefully after round 1, but I doubt it)
Track Days:
1) Have fun!
2) Move up from control rider to instructor
3) Help as many people as I can to have fun and reach their potential
1: Go to the track and not crash in the first session. Hopefully I can go to the track and not crash at all in during a day.
2: Get the gsxr 100% perfect, armored, suspended, and wired this winter BEFORE the season starts (or get another bike that is all of those things, let me know if anyone is selling one)
3: Do at least 5 track days. Back to #1 don't crash early.
4: Get my liscence and enter at least 1 race weekend and don't look stupid.
I can use all the help I can get. Especially in the not crashing part.
Personal race goals:
Improve upon my PB lap time
Keep it on two wheels (or at least one)
Hit up New Jersey for a CCS round or two and land on the podium
Top 3 in all of my race classes. (LRRS Championship? Tall order, but sure would be nice)
Race a round of AMA at NJMP?
Team race goals:
Help my teammates improve
Get the ECK Racing "brand" out there a little more
Track day goals:
Help TTD provide a top knotch product
Help to develop the next generation of CR's and Instructors

Lose 20 lbs, figure out the bum shoulder, rebuild 2 r6 motors, get back to the 18's. Buy a hot tub time machine to go back to being a novice when that was reality. Who'd a thunk I was faster as a novice, lol. How much are those hot tubs anyway...
LRRS #387
1) get a job so I can actually race in 2012
Assuming that happens
2) no crashes
3) represent myself and my sponsors well
4) 16s which is 1.5 seconds over my best. Should be possible but who knows what I will look like at the start of the season.
5) at least 1 expert podium
IF everything comes together and I get a job AND I manage to pick up another bike that I have had my eye on
6) 13s
