Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
I have a more humble goal.
Restore enough range-of-motion in my left knee to be able to ride a sport bike for a 20 minute track session.
1-Have fun
2-Put a stock 600rr in the 17's
3-Make every race weekend
how stock are we talking here. my bike only has suspension, a slip on and power commander and Brembo RCS(plus the normal stuff like clip ons, rear sets, etc that make no difference to lap times) and I've done a 19 and I'm not even that good. I think a good expert on my bike could do 15s easily maybe even lower.

well I have no money, so im only planning on running good pads, bodywork and protective stuff. I do plan to modify the suspension, but only by changing whats in the stock internals. I might add a penske double if I can find one cheap enough because I know the shocks on these bikes aren't good for racing because of the style piston in them. I did 16's on a worse bike so I dont think its that crazy of a goal....

Its the most boring thing you can possibly do on a bicycle !! I cant stand to ride more then 5-10 minutes and because of that mine has more dust on it than you can imagine.
Seriously.. how do guys like Spies and others ride these things daily for 30-60 minutes?? Its like watching paint dry!

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
I've found that cutting, moving and splitting your own firewood is a great way to keep in shape! It's been quite a while since I have felt this worn out however I'm getting really toned again and my bum leg is getting the work out that a pedal bike and/ or running simply won't provide. Pedal bike doesn't work the areas that my leg needs and running offers way too much impact.
Scott, if you're bored, come on over and I'll put you to work.
Hucking wood. It's the new work out regimen for today's road racer!

I'd like to get in on some track days and work towards prepping my bike and wallet for racing in 2013.
Scott,
Put it front of the TV, wire up an xbox and play one full race of motogp, including some practice to learn the track and the qualifying session. Start on a 125, do a season, and work up through 250, and GP. One race should have you on the trainer an hour to an hour and a half, and it removes the boredom.
I would pretty much forget I was riding the trainer, and my legs would nearly give out when I finished the race and went to climb off.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
i have a half hearted plan to race next year, but im only gonna show up if its raining
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
