2012 Season Goals

Hi all,

Been a while since I have been here so thought I would start off my return with this:

What are your goals for the 2012 racing season?

Mine look something like this:

1) My first EX podium
2) 16's
3) no crashes
4) Keep Pete in sight for an entire race

I am going to try like hell but these are some very lofty goals. In years past I had hit my goals very early on so I am trying to set the bar a little higher in hopes that it entices me to work harder.

In no particular order:

WERA win
Go to Summit Point
Go to BeaveRun
Go to VIR
Get invited to GNF at Road Atlanta (and pray that I have the $$ to get there)

I am taking it one weekend at a time as I have no idea what the bike and I are capable of. But as a starting point I would like to see a 1:19 for the first weekend. I feel that it is attainable, but will require some work and getting used to the bike. I am also looking to become consistent and not botch shifts, as well as get new markers as my old ones are now useless. (There is no way in hell I can brake at the end of the pit wall anymore.) I also hope to help Jake Vader any way I can to see him progress and learn. And of course listen to advice from the wise and noble Pete and Gino duo.

Personal race goals:
Improve upon my PB lap time
Keep it on two wheels (or at least one)
Hit up New Jersey for a CCS round or two and land on the podium
Top 3 in all of my race classes. (LRRS Championship? Tall order, but sure would be nice)
Race a round of AMA at NJMP?

Team race goals:
Help my teammates improve
Get the ECK Racing "brand" out there a little more


Track day goals:
Help TTD provide a top knotch product
Help to develop the next generation of CR's and Instructors

My NJMP and CCS AMA goals are in all probability out the window. Chances are I'll only be racing LRRS LWSS and LWSB on Sundays this year.

Haha bastard. Actually I am not worried about the starts. I'd actually rather start last until I get in my comfort zone haha. Although I will say that now...on track I will just fucking go for it.

so you'll have plenty of energy to step it up and run right with Elvis and Scooter for those races. I want a real 3 way battle for the win in those races cause I enjoy watching those the most, especially now that I don't get much chance to see the MW/HW/Unlimited experts go.

If I get the R6 going Id like to get back the 17s first weekend and 15s by the end of the season.

On the KTM Id like 19s but its been a while since Ive been on a tard so we will see how that goes.

Overall I just want to race well.

"Out the window" means they're NOT happening. I'll be happy if I get to compete in just 1/2 the number of races I did last year.

Goal 2: Met - Raced buddy's 2003 CBR600RR last month in a Endurance race with him, JRO, and myself. In two weeks will be racing my bike (R6) in normal races.
