2012 Season Goals

Track-type stuff: Get in some trackdays, get some pro instruction, learn more about riding faster. Maybe pick up a 998 to play with.

Street-type stuff: This will be my first riding season in NE, so exploring the area is top goal. A few trips to visit friends and relations in upstate NY, WV, PA, various other places; hopefully ride out to Indy for the MotoGP. Do the easy IBA rides (SS1000, BB1500) on my Monster. Turn over 200K miles on it.

Other: Get a permanent-type job and move here for real. I've been traveling for work the last two years, and not getting to live with my wife and cats and stuff is non-ideal.

Goals:

1. Bump to AM after the second round. Maybe first if I can ramp up quickly.
2. AM podium
3. Touch 20s
4. Zero crashes
5. Tonsa fun

That'll take a whole bunch of work, but seems possible from where I'm sitting now.

you raced and commuted to the races on one set all year? that is amazing. I thought I was good with tires but I went through 2 fronts and 3 rears, granted they were all take offs except one of the fronts.

yeah I know. still impressive cause its not exactly like he was going slow.
I think I also did a lot more track days than him too. I think I did 8-10 days. so I guess I did pretty good with my tire wear.

I got two years out of a set on my EX500

My goal is to not race until I'm damn ready. I'll be there, just don't know when....

On the bright side, all this cycling has me in the best shape I've ever been in.

Get the 748 together and learn to ride it well.

Work on becoming a better instructor at BOMO Trackdays and serve the customers well as Safety Director.

Improve laptimes on the Hawk.

MAYBE do a race this season but I doubt it.

Ride more on the street.

I'm that easy on tires because I am that slow!

I think that's amazing tire wear for a MW. Aside from that "commuting" thing, I had no extra (i.e. Friday) practices or track days last year. I've got to find time and $ for one or the other this season to keep up with that new novice crew.
