So why isn't Loudon using this?
This has already been brought to Tommy's attention over at the LRRS Facebook page. John Grush is doing research to find the actual product so that it can be submitted for consideration.

Thank you Johnny. Doesn't hurt to ask (on my end).
I remember hearing something about the endurance race and how we had to stop at X time because of some rules and insurance

With the LRRS race there is a curfew that Tommy has to adhere to. He is also trying to squeeze in a Legends race, SuperMoto or something else in the schedule.
As far as the USCRA "Big Fish Small Pond 3ish Hour Classic", we are renting the track from NHMS, along with the ambulances, etc. When I am working as the Starter, it is my responsibility to wrap things up and have a cold track at 5:00 sharp to avoid paying overtime for the ambulances and flaggers.

Under LRRS only classes, looks like they took my suggestion word for word so no motards. P89 is also gone officially.

    On the topic of fuel

8.2.1 All riders must use an approved spec fuel.
Must the fuel be bought on site? Say I use Sunoco 93 Premium Pump Fuel... can I just buy that down the street where it's cheaper?

Well, not quite... Select VP fuels listed in the rule book are still legal, you just won't be able to buy them from NHMS any more.

Correction, I'm wrong. They did pull prior approved VP fuels out... Savas' statement is 100% correct.

Guess the C12 gets saved for Boxshop.

Now I'm just nitpicking... 8.2.2 says NHMS/LRRS carries the spec fuel and can be purchased on site... it doesn't say it must be purchased.. that's all.. carry on.

The 'can' in that line is referring to the times you can purchase legal fuels, both during LRRS events and regular business hours. You won't sneak past the laws lawyers on that on.

(Also, when Grahame tests he's going to compare to the on site fuel supply which likely won't match down the street's well enough to pass the test so... up to you! Personally I'll be buying the Optima for A-ko just to escape ethanol without getting into crazy octanes or lead amounts.)

If I remember correctly, the fuels (even 93 pump) sold at NHMS are all ethanol free.

was really hoping that we would see prices on 93 at the track come down in line with the current fall in fuel prices but i guess not. smh

Not quite, the 93 Pump has ethanol as confirmed by NHMS as it's 'required' for street legal pump gas. That's not 100% accurate, but I can see where it'd be hard to get just their tanks filled with non-blended fuel. They do claim to be more proactive about changing filters and keeping the water content in check.

Sunoco 260 GT is also sold as a street legal fuel, 'oxygenated' with 10% ethanol by volume.

Sunoco 260 GTX is not street legal, has no lead or ethanol, and no oxygenators. It's also $9 a gallon...

Supreme and Standard are zero ethanol but do contain lead.

    Re: 2015 LRRS Suggestions/Feedback

I haven't found a good one stop depot on that front. The basics as I understand them:

More octane than your motor needs to run without pinging generally means less horsepower.

Two fuels that differ only in octane, the higher octane fuel generally burns slower.

Most oxygenators do produce HP if you jet for them (Generally richer than required for plain gas) but can be nasty as all hell to your machine especially if allowed to sit.

Ethanol is considered an oxygenator and also sucks.

None of the above are absolutes, except for Ethanol, it sucks.

Don't you usually have to go to Thailand to get the required parts? Modern medicine is truly a miracle!
