I'll be taking bribes at the stop box.
My goal is the first official deployment of the Dumbass flag.
Last year I gave the rundown on the different flags at the drivers meeting for the Legends Cars World Finals. When I was done Tommy kept giving me funny looks and motioned to my flag bag. I finally got the hint and pulled out the Dumbass flag. displaying it while Tommy gave a lecture on its meaning.
Everybody jumped the start for the Young Lions heat race, but the flag wasn't with me, so Tommy had to yell at them over the radio instead.

1) Develop an understanding of how to fully utilize the electronics on modern bikes
2) Better my PB on a big bike
3) Share what I learn with my students along the way
That, and work to build our entry level classes so that more riders can come be a part of our sport.

NJ Mini GP has a karting track @ NJMP. No such facility @ NHMS.

Groms* and minibikes are a cool idea for those of us with them, who already race. I don't see them being the kind of thing that would bring new people into the sport. Turning the casual sportbike rider into a racer (via trackdays) is what brings new people into the sport.
*Disclaimer: I think Groms are overpriced scooters

I think this guy:
is more the target market to decide "hey, I should try a racing motorcycles!" than this guy, who just traded in his scooter for a Grom:
The support is there for the 300 class to draw new people in. Penguin rents them, they are motorcycles, and they look like those fast GixxerNinja bikes.
I'm not arguing against a cool exhibition class for Groms(well, not in this thread, at least), just saying I don't think they are the best conduit to attract new people to the sport.

So based on your view of who own's Groms....... they should stick with the 300's
AhHhhhhhhhhhahaha....... Ok guess why the name is not a MSX in the US and its Grom. Its more of a entry level bike than the 300 but then again you can't sell tires to groms cause pirelli doesn't have any

Pirelli does have Grom sized tires, at least they used to when I was racing minis...SL26s IIRC?
In any case, if you want to race your Grom on a full size track, the USCRA is going to trial it. The 300 class makes for a current, relevant production class that keeps costs in check while being quick enough to safely integrate with other full size bike classes. It also happens to mesh nicely with what's happening in MotoAmerica's KTM cup so you've got potential cross over there. If you're looking to really learn racecraft on a mini I'd advise someone to skip the Grom and go to a Kayo 125 or NSF100 as they're cheaper, handle better out of the crate, etc. That or a CRF100 'cause they're even cheaper and instantly have bazillions of others to race against.
