    2019 DP Brakes Sponsorship

    To all LRRS Racers,

DP Brakes would like to offer any licensed riders a sponsorship for the 2019 season. This would include discounted brake pads and clutch kits for most popular bikes. I myself have been sponsored by DP Brakes since 2013,and I have become the Northeast Road Racing director for the company. Some of you have already participated in this program and continue too. I have been authorized to announce that DP Brakes has graciously extended this offer to our LRRS community for the fourth year in a row. Any Racer or team, regardless of skill level (Novice, Amateur, Expert) is welcome. I myself would be the contact person at LRRS events for product questions. I can be reached here, or by email, same as screen name at Gmail.com or in person at LRRS events.Interested parties please contact dpbrakestm@aol.com. Participants would need to run DP decals on all bikes, and must hold a race licence and tag DP Brakes on social media at the following, FB under @dpbrakesracing and Larry Mills. Plus, on Instagram under #dpbrakesracing and #larrymills9
Please mention you are a LRRS racer and that I am the contact person
    Thank you Mike Randi #772

Does DP make an aggressive pad compound for front brake of a Suzuki LS650? (Savage)

Happy to be with the team for another year. Amazing how great these pads are. Even the standard pads are super aggressive and have little to no fade. My only regret was wasting my money on other brands for years before mike and phill convinced me to try them. Ill never go back great support and easy to work with. Thanks again mike!!

Bah, really don't want to do a full brake conversion on the bike... but the stock setup with organic pads is... borderline dangerous?

    Re: 2019 DP Brakes Sponsorship

Hey Mike. Is this an option for dirty bikes too? I'm going to be running at least a few j day events this year, and I'm in the market for some new pads now.

I'm wondering what the difference is between dp and sdp pads. Seems the sdp is higher performance, but I know some of the other brands those are more mx pads because they get run a bit hotter. Looking for woods stuff.

    Thanks

    Re: 2019 DP Brakes Sponsorship

I run the sdp on my kdx. The s stands for sintered. I would recommend them. Not too sure on the dirty sponsorship but I can ask.

The dp standard pads say they are sintered too, so that's part of why I asked. For example, the Braking brand pads have cm44 and cm46 pads. Both sintered, but the cm46 are more for high speed mx use. Thought this was maybe the same situation.

    Re: 2019 DP Brakes Sponsorship

Matt, I just looked at my kdx. I have the standard on the front and the sdp compound on the rear. The sdp pads are definitely for more abuse and heat. I would go with thoes. I have them and I have zero complaints.

    DP...giggity.

Seriously, very cool to see some product companies still help the racing community.

For anyone that signed up for this program I will be up sunday at the track and will have a few hats, decals, and banners to give out to sponsored riders. And answer any questions about the program and products.
