Who
16 Days and its snowing like a mother fucker here
15 Days , time to start to think about ...... panicking
My parts guy ordered the wrong gasket for my clutch cover. I still can't put fluids in the machine.
Big fan of that guy right now.
I feel your pain.
In the future research the part number of the part you want to get yourself, walk in with the part number and tell them to order you the part number you hand them. No questions that way as if you screwed up it is on you and if they didn't order the part number that you gave them it is on them.
Unless of course this is what you did in which case we should lynch the parts guy....................
Normally I do. My dealer has a online parts fiche. I just pick the parts I want, add to cart, pay online and select "in store pickup" for $0. Perfect for anti social types like me who hate talking on the phone.
Except this time the fiche listed the caliper seal kit as "not available" for the DL. And there was something else that I couldn't figure out with one of the other bikes. And I needed some fluids and was willing to pay their markup to walk out with the fluids.
Long story short, the one part I knew exactly what I wanted we miscommunicated about. Partly my fault, sure. But partly his too for not making sure.
I'll get over it, eventually. Until then I blame him.
I've paid to 2nd day the seal. Hopefully I have it by Friday. If I can't put fluids in the machine and make sure it runs by Sunday PM I am going to sit out round 1.

It was a disgusting glob of RTV. Took me hours to clean that shit out.
PSA: Don't use that crap where an oe seal is supposed to go.

Being the internet illiterate that I am I had to look up what this meant.
Second definition at this link Urban Dictionary: FIFY is the first one I saw and that really confused me
Yes, jasnmar might have been also implying that bub's bike would be fine in a few years. Depends on that parts guy now. I have both gaskets nhbubba needs, but he didn't ask me![]()

I fully admit to being a weenie. I deserve all ridicule I receive.
Engine buttoned up. Tires and wheels on. Coolant in. Carbs and air box back on. New filter spun on. Looks like a motorcycle again.
Needs : Seal installed. Oil in. Brakes flushed. Test fire and resolve any issues that brings. Burp rad and re-wire.
Any tips on breaking in a new clutch on a racebike? Smuttster?
And we just got 5 more inches of wet slushy mess
