Uneventful. Everyone gapped me in short order. I stayed in front of Daniel till the end. The end. I'm still slow. Oh, and I passed a Harley Davidson. Fortunatly nothing fell off while I was behind it.

Haha, I was just playing man. I gotta be honest, Im not sure which is more surprising to come up on at the track, your Harley or the Goldwing. Both of them are fucking awesome to see ripping around.
I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw you pulling into the paddock.

There was a goldwing out there?

Yeah, it felt awesome to be back at the track after being away for so long. It's kinda fun being this slow. I know I can only improve from here.(i hope)

He does track days, also a NESR member.
Wookie was asking what kind of tires you run out there. (I always tried to get him to race his sportster)

Sweeet. Any challenges setting up the bike for racing? Are those the standard rim sizes?

    How is it handling?

Oh, and get used to the harley jokes.

Every time I saw that bike roll by I'd say, "that's so badass.".

    The end.

It looked like you were having fun out there. I thought to myself how it would be fun to rip it around the track. Rob C. was saying how the Hardly would slaughter ULSB. I agreed to disagree.

Re: APRIL 09 ULSB Race reports.

It was real fun. I had to change the front wheel to a 17 inch but the rear is stock.

The bike handles like shit right now but it really could be more me being rusty from not racing in 1.5 years.

In my head the bike was an ULSB killer but then reality set in

I can't wait to get back up there. I'm making some tweaks to the bike so hopefully I won't be in anyones way next race.

Let me tell you it's tough getting passed by EVERYONE in the race.Definetly a humbling expierence.

Wookie, get your ass out there! I need another Harley to gauge how slow I am!

No worries, you will get the fast. I would absolutley love to race one of those...someday.

BTW, there is an artilce in BIKE about racing XR1200s.

Best of luck, I'll be there this summer for a least one race.

Hey Doc. Well let me sum it up this way. Too many beers in the off season and NO working out to compensate!

That was my 3rd race of the day (2 GTL, 7 LWSB then 9 ULSB) and I was pooped. I just plain ran out of steam and couldn't fend off Tony. Although I still had a great time and got to meet Tony after the race. Super nice guy and look forward to the next race with him.

So Doc when are you coming back for the rematch? We miss you out there.
