No, not at all.

More concerned that someone with a bike that is a shit-ton faster than any other Prod Twins bike will clean house. Besides, what do you care? Planning to run PTwins anytime soon?

This is my only class that my particular bike is competitive in past a Novice level and I'd like to keep it as fair as possible considering it's a "rider ability/budget" type of class. I'm willing to bet the other 15 or so PTwin'ers who have been supporting the class for years feel the same way.

The fully stock hawk from 1989 or whenever isn't going to be a shit-ton faster, and regardless Doc is apparently trying to just stir shit, since he posted to the other board that he 'heard some guy pass a rumor' to him about it being allowed in. Even if it were allowed, how many people do you think are going to hunt down a 20 year old bike so that they can flock to the budget class for one race to try to beat up on some lesser bikes? Do you think anyone is going to get less racing in or retire their EX if another bike or two enters the class?

Look at it this way.. you EX guys have YEARS of R&D over any stock Hawk racer.

AND you were all up in arms over the Ducati 620. A stock Hawk is a whole lot slower than a 620.

Plus a Hawk (and a Duc) are not as cheap to run as a EX.

No worries on the walking away with it. I doubt there will be more than a couple stock Hawks trying it anyway (if we get the official ok) the championship would still be safe. (there are 3 or 4 of us that would take turns on this Hawk I am looking to get)

I have talked to BJ in the past and he didn't think it would be a problem. Not looking for a championship here, just extra track time and a way to play with some friends.

Nope. 17's. The original mid-80's EX's had 16" rims but Kawasaki upgraded to 17's in the early 90's. The bike didn't change one iota other than the rims. It's a legal mod in ProddyTwins cause again, stock EX's come with 17's and are identical to EX's with 16's.

I like the new gridding decision. This is coming from a guy that actually won the fax race last season.
I was gridded on the front row of my FIRST expert race! One side of me is Brett Guyer, the other Ricky and Toad. Jurgen, Gino, Dube, and the rest of the other fast guys were behind me. The front row is no place for me, probably should have just started from the back.

Good work from those in charge. Seems like a good place to start anyway.

Yeah... don't get me wrong, I like the points gridding better than the Fax Race, too... But from the info I have available to me (not much ) I'd rather it be points in that specific class rather than overall. Just seems more fair to those guys who only have 1 bike & concentrate on one or two classes.

No system is ever going to be fair to everyone. Someone always feels slighted. Johnny explained why it's Overall Points and I can see how that makes the most sense. I'd vote for the same method if I was on the board even thou I'm one of the guys that traditionally only does 2 races per weekend

im not overly concerned about the NV class gridding just thought i would ask since there are so many NV on here. i personally couldnt care less. was just curious.
what i am overly concerned about (as usual) is belly pans

There are points in NV classes, over the course of 3.5 weekends I racked up 80 of them.

Edit: And for the record, I bought a bellypan for my GS.

I would deff run one stock hawk in Ptwns and one modified hawk in ulsb during the same weekend to get more track time. Doc .. I hope it's true as I have a fully stock setup!!!!
