"Attention: There has been some discussion as to our decision to have our LRRS Awards Banquet in late March (after Daytona) instead of earlier as in the past. Basic info: Due to many circumstances including the state of the economy those of us who produce the Awards ceremony got a late start this year. This left us with many things to consider. We had originally planned to move the date back to late November (which we plan to do for next season) but there was not enough time to put it all together which includes the awards beside finding a venue to host us. We then decided that late January and early February have always had issues which include conflicts with other race organizations, motorcycle shows in NYC and Indiana, mid winter storms and just simply getting past the expenses of the holidays.
