As we’re gearing cup for the second race event of the 2013 season, we’ve got some news and updates to share.
USCRA/FIM North America Vintage Road Racing Championships
June 8 – 9
New Hampshire Motor Speedway
Kicking off Laconia Motorcycle Week, the USCRA presents three spectacular races in two days that include:
USCRA Round 2 races on Saturday
FIM Vintage Road Racing Championships on Sunday
Tankshifter races on Saturday and Sunday
Spectacular sidecar action -- one race on Saturday, and two on Sunday
The grueling three-hour Big Fish Little Pond Endurance Race on Saturday afternoon
Gypsy Tour at lunchtime on Sunday – giving all kinds of riders a chance to feel the thrill of being on a race track…and bringing lots of new fans into the USCRA fold
Race school for new racers, or those just getting back into racing after some time off
Display and information booth on the proposed motorsports museum to be located at NHMS
Potluck dinner/BBQ on Saturday night for racers and crews at 7 p.m.
Trophy ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday
And featuring special guests:
AMA Hall of Famer, Ed Fisher, Racer, tuner, dealer and life-long motorcycle enthusiast. Winner of the 1953 Laconia 100-mile National Championship road race – we will not only be celebrating the 60th anniversary of his accomplishment, as well as his birthday!
Doc Batsleer, noted Indian tankshifter racer (with several tankshifters)
Father of the Pewter Run, Mark Gibson – with one of his pre-1950, Pewter Run-eligible bikes on display
Admission is $20 for the weekend (plus entry fees, of course, for the racers).
Race registration starts at 5 p.m., or “whenever Eve gets there” on Friday, June 7.
Gates open at 7 p.m.
