ATTENTION IN THE HADDOCK! - "A Note From Tech"

    From Bob Perkins:

    Hi All,

After a long cold winter I am sure that you all are looking forward to another fun filled season of racing at our favorite track, NHMS.
This is just a note to remind you all that the Tech crew at NHMS is there to help you through a safe weekend at the track. We are not there to give you a hard time or waste your time arguing about the way your bike is set up. All the information that you need can be found in the rulebook or on our website.

A few things to remember, All helmets must be no more than 5 years old and in good condition. All helmets must meet DOT plus SNELL 2005 or BSI 6658 Type A or ECE22-05. Don't paint over damaged areas, we need to see the extent of the damage from a previous fall. I always see riders with the latest hot 600, new tire warmers, the coolest new pit bike and then they show up in Tech with a POS helmet. Buy a good helmet.

Coolant, the only coolant additives that will be allowed are, Red Line Water Wetter and Maxima Cool–Aide. If you show up in Tech with any other product, bring a bucket, you will be dumping it.

Safety Wire, the use of .020'' safety wire is not allowed. It's diameter is too small to hold most nuts or bolts safely. Use only .025" or .032" diameters.

I look forward to seeing all of you again soon for a great racing season.

    Thanks, bp

Can't do that. Tell you what. I will post it here, STRICTLY FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES!

[NEAR] OUR responsibility while at the track

Bob Perkins just sent out a reminder about bike prep and the people who oversee our safety while we're on the track. I wanted to briefly touch on issues related to our safety -- and enjoyment -- while AT the track.

    * 10 PM noise curfew. (No radio's, tv's or loud parties while people are trying to sleep. We're in a fishbowl, and there's no place for the sound to go.)

    * No alcohol before 6PM and/or the cessation of racing for the day. Ejection and license suspension rules are spelled out in the rulebook.

    * Use of illegal drugs will get you tossed out, suspended, and likely arrested.

    And the BIG THREE:

    * Watch your speed (15 MPH in the paddock, cars, trucks, AND bikes ... we don't care that you're late to the grid.)

    * Mind your kids. (New riding area is in the works.)

    * Curb your pets.

Lastly, we don't want to get all "Big Brother-y" but we are a family, and we should look out for each other. That means when you see someone doing something wrong, you're NOT asking them to stop (or if necessary, reporting it) to be mean to *them* ...

You're doing it because it's the right thing to do for the other HUNDRED'S of people that are in the paddock with you.

As a pet owner that really fuckin pisses me off. I guess some people are that fuckin lazy or just fuckin idiots not to pick up after their pet. I have no problem saying "Hey you're going to pick that up right!!!"

For the record; my dog craps where no one walks.....and that location is directly on the track.

But seriously, he craps down in the drainage ditch across from T10 (in between the North and South garages)....that okay or should I look into another location?

Doesn't matter where he craps, as long as you pick the shit up. Maybe you don't walk there but someone may.

I was talking to Wanda last year, and she was talking about possibly ordering "Mutt Mitt" dispensers (Plastic bags) to install around the infield.
In case you didn't know, Jerry Gappens has two dogs himself, so I doubt he'll ban them altogether.
But that doesn't mean they won't be policing this, especially at the May event, which is right before the Vintage Celebration.

I don't get it... the vintage poos are the easiest to deal with. It's the Novice poos you really have to worry about.
