his twitter account seems to be negating any possible new teams in either WSBK or AMA. but i mean his options are out there.

this opens the door for Vale maybe coming back to Yamaha. which i would be thrilled! anything besides the Duc. ANYTHING.

Say what? If memory serves me well Jorge alreday beat Rossi on the same machine two seasons ago. Point number two, Rossi's decision to leave Yamaha was more a matter of ego and less of a matter of not liking Lorenzo. Everyone knows that the last guy you want to loose to is the other guy in your very same team.

One more thing: I am not sure if I would be specially found of Rossi dragging Marlborough with him to Honda. Afterall, it is not like there are not sufficient sponsors courting Rossi. Did he not recently say that his decision for the 2013 season will not hing upon money?

Sad to say, Spies did not live up to the expectations people had on his MotoGP performance. Needless to say you don't want to be a back marker on a factory machine (CRT bikes aside).

Spies did say he's not heading for a 9-5 job, so I'm curious where he will land.

WSBK with the BMW Italia team (which next year will be the "factory" backed team in WSBK). I've seen quotes saying the deal is "99% done".

I'm sorry to say but to quote, a comment from a comentator during yesterday's race at Laguna Seca: Spies performance in MotoGP this year has been pretty mediocre. Yesterday's fall kinda illustrates that.

His swingarm broke. Even Yamaha confirmed it. Cant really fault Spies on that one.

Maybe Rossi will go back to Yamaha and start winning again and Spies will head over to Ducati and maybe be better

spies said yesterday in the tv interview that he'd be riding for 5 teams next year according to all the rumors. He said none of them are true. He has offers and options, but has not decided or even hinted to where he will be next year.

Re: Ben Spies to leave Yamaha Moto GP

I heard that he'll be racing the upcoming Can-Am three wheeler in WSBK. It hasn't been released that they've gotten approval to run the Spyder based race thingy. Rumor is they'll allow a 1400cc engine to make up for the third wheel drag as long as it is a v-twin, a four cylinder would be allowed to run 1200cc. It will be a large bike on the track, but Spies is quoted as saying, "Shit, I'm from Texas...."

I highly doubt he'd announce he was leaving Yamaha (and catch everyone by surprise) if he didn't know exactly where he was going next year.

Re: Ben Spies to leave Yamaha Moto GP

so what we do know is ....

Lorenzo will be with Factory Yamaha

Hayden will be with Factory Ducati (and he is doing pretty damn good on that ducati)

Pedrosa will be with Repsol Honda

so now we have Dovi, Crutchlow, Rossi, and lets not forget what no one has said yet, Marc Marquez. Who is supposably going to repsol honda since stoner is leaving.

MotoGP talks about dovi, rossi and factory Yamaha, saying "With Yamaha Factory Racing’s Ben Spies having confirmed his departure at the end of the season, Dovizioso, who has recorded four podiums this season so far on his satellite machine, is one of the riders tipped to potentially make the step up. However, as the teams and riders head into the summer break, ever-greater speculation about Ducati Team’s Valentino Rossi has linked the nine-times world champion with a return to the Japanese outfit."

If Yamaha takes Rossi then Dovi does not get the spot. Ducati has made a offer to Crutchlow so he MIGHT take that offer if Rossi left for Yamaha. That leaves Dovi with Tech 3 (b/c Marquez will be with Repsol Honda) again and doing a great job on it. I think Spies would go back to WSBK which would be awesome for everyone.

    Over and out.

Marquez is signed to Repsol Honda.
The rest will be pretty well sorted by Indy.

Lorenzo - we know he stays put whyere he is
Rossi - to Factory Yamaha - with Marlboro sponsorship
Crutchlow and Bradley Smith on the Tech 3 Yamahas
Dovi to the factory Ducati with Hayden
Spies - on a factory Suzuki as the sole rider - with Schwantz involved somehow
Looks like it's one step closer people........gonna happen! (I predict)

Come on....I've hit 'em all so far (though, we don't yet know about Vale's sponsor being Marlboro).
Come on Suzuki Japan! Make this happen....don't let him go to Honda

No one has said a thing about where Bautista is going next year, cant imagine Gresini wants him another year.

Tech 3 has signed Crutchlow (yesterday morning) and has already signed Bradley Smith (moving up from Moto2).
Where Stefan Bradl will be riding in 2013 hasn't been announced as of yet.
