Another vote for Impact Armor. Love mine. Crashed in it 3 times, never once had an issue.
Well worth the money for a completely custom fit system. I'm not a typical size, fitment was a concern for me for most off the shelf systems.

I have the Forcefield TPro Sub 4. It is a bit bulkier than other BP's out there, but it is a phenomenal piece of equipment. I crashed in T4 a couple years ago, and landed pretty hard on my back with no pain whatsoever. That was testament enough for me! My leathers are perfectly fitted for me and it's rather snug with the Sub4 in there so I doubt I could comfortably fit a chest protector in there as well. Suppose I have to shrink some of these massive muscles....lmfao!!
While on the subject.. I try to throw some money at gear upgrades every year. Last year my street gitup saw all the love, this year it's time to invest in track day goodies.
I want to add a chest protector. Looking at LRRS racers, track day control riders and instructors, and people who I think know wtf they are doing.. seems like IA makes a popular product. I got all touchy feelie on Claytons setup at a track day a while back. Fortunately for me he wasn't wearing it at the time.
I'm sold. I think I want.
Does anyone know the details on the differences between their standard chest protector and the 'supermoto' one? Looks to me like the SM one offers better protection for a couple extra bucks, possibly while giving up some freedom of motion on a sport bike. I track an SV but would like to use the vest in other situations too, possibly even on a moto'd DRZ. Wondering which product is right for me.
The supermoto one comes higher up on the chest. May get in the way when you're in a sport riding posture.
You can get the ab wing on the regular one as well if you really want.
He offers the regular with the wing. Also the wing is available as a retrofit for armor that didn't have it originally. Seems like it was added as an improvement at one point.
I see the difference in the shape now. Not clear on what that does/doesn't do for you. Don't the 'moto guys move around just as much if not more than the sport bike types?! Watching from the sidelines it looks like they move up and down a lot more.
Sounds like the regular with wingie thingie is what I want. I'll drop them a line and confirm.
Still lovin mine all these years later.
If I'm going to invest in a chest protector.. this one seems like the one to get. I just hope I can make it work with my (rather thick) Knox back protector as I am too cheap to replace it right now. The big problem will be getting it all to fit in the suit ... with me. Leather stretches a little, right?

Nope
I was concerned when I ordered my Impact Armor chest and back protector because I had not included that in my leather fitting with Vanson. Mike at Impact Armor said not a problem and my leathers fit like a glove with both protectors. As if you didn't know it already, two thumbs up for Impact Armor. And Mike was great to work with!
